Hi

I preordered it 2 months ago and received it last week.

the picture quality is very good as well as video quality BUT the issue is on video mood you can have either digital zoom or optical zoom,in digital zoom mood the video is out of focus and capture everything blury and in optical zoom mood, very impressing quality (better than my sony hdd camcorder) but when you are zoom in or out it will cut the audio recording so the sound keep on and off, specially when you talking during zooming some of your voice not record and just record the very end of lens movement noise(very noisy lens).

some of the good points of the cammera are fast start up,fast zoom.hight picture and video quality, long lasting battery and many more

some of the bad pints are one witch i explained, long way to change betwin photo and video mood.noisy lens.

over all i am happy of my shopping.

at the end i want to appologise or all my writting mistake as i am not english but i tried to do my best.

This camera was bought for my son’s 16th birthday. As any normal teenager would do, he took it out of the wrapping and started taking photo’s, no sign of him ever reading the manual. Fantastic photo’s they are to. Lovely size screen, very intuitive. He takes lots of pictures of racing cars on and off track. Still life in the garden and animals, the camera seems to adjust well to various ‘light’ and weather conditions. Great value for money.

this is a good value 14mp camera which replaced a 12mp Panasonic Lumix camera. Although the build quality feels less, the pictures are actually better in my opinion. Comibined with a movie feature which is very handy and quite good, (you can even zoom while movie recording) this is a compact camera which is worth buying.

I got this camera at 6pm when I got home from work. Sorted out the batteries, SD card, cord and all that malarkey and started playing around with it. There are a lot of different photograph settings that make it VERY easy to take a perfetc shot, although my view on that is limited as I only got to use the camera for about half an hour!

After I’d got it set up and taken a few test shots, I left the camera on a table for about 3 hours. Came back to it and turned it on and straight away got an error message on the screen and the camera was making an awful grinding/beeping sound. The message said something along the lines of “lens error, turn camera off and on again”. So I did. And nothing happened – still the same error message on the screen of the camera. I couldn’t do anything with the camera as the lens was stuck in the extended position.

I googled the problem and apparently it must be quite common as there is a section on the FujiFilm website about it – there’s basically nothing you can do once it jams like this, just return it!

I left the camera half an hour then when I turned it on again the lens went back to it’s correct position and I took some more photos with it and thought maybe it was just a one off thing as it’s new and has been stuck in a box for months. Well no, as the next morning when I turned the camera on it did exactly the same thing.

I may have been unlucky with the camera I received and I’ve had Fujifilm cameras before and thought they were excellent, but the fact it had essentially broken within 3 hours of me unwrapping it makes me very wary of buying a replacement of the same model :(

I bought this camera after my previous one broke. I needed to start using this very soon after it was delivered and was pleased to find it very easy to setup and start using it.

It’s auto mode is very good at picking the right settings, pictures are taken quickly and can be viewed clearly and quickly through the ample-sized screen.

The one thing that lets this camera down is the software that you have to use to get the pictures onto your computer. With my last camera you simply plugged it in and could access the files on it directly but with this camera you have no choice but to use Fujifilm’s software. It works ok but it’s not a very nice interface and you have to copy all the pictures off of your camera at once rather than just your latest ones.

Overall though I would still recommend this as a good camera for your money.
