Can’t believe how simple to install and use this item is. Simply plug it into the cigarette lighter, connect to your ipod, set your radio channel to 87.5 and away you go. Took a couple of minutes to “tweek” the sound via the base, treble etc, but once that was done it’s been fine. For under ten pounds (that includes post and packing), this is great value. The sound is not quite as crystal clear as via the ipods headphones, but it’s still first-class. Untill I buy a car which has mp3 compatability built in this little gadget will do the business!!! A bonus feature is that the installation is so simple you could move it between as mant cars as you have in your household, (althougth with it being so cheap I would simply buy one for each car!!).

This product does what it claims to, but sound quality is mediocre. During quiet parts of songs, I can hear a high frequency tone, which changes pitch with engine RPM. Loud parts, especially drums, tend to cause distortion.

On the plus side, it does charge my iPod, and it holds it fairly well.

As I said, ok for the money, but don’t expect it to perform as well as £20+ devices.

Unit came without instructions and seller was unable to supply. The clamps did not hold the iPOD classic securely and it kept popping out.

Although I realise this item was not expensive evertime I just knock it slightly (even when I amn changing songs) the power seems to go from the ipod holder so it then goes off on my radio. When I can get it working it is ok but wish I had spend a bit more money on a better one !

When it arrived I was initially disappointed at the rather cheap and nasty appearance. However, I attached the ipod, plugged it into the lighter socket and proceeded to find a spare radio frequency.

Living in London made finding a spare frequency without interference quite difficult, but once found the product worked extremely well. Make sure that you don’t have any strange volume settings (eg auto) on your ipod tho’. The sound was nice and clear, but I wouldn’t compare it to CD quality. Maybe I need to find another frequency, which is VERY easy to do. When I reached my destination and turned off the ignition, my Nano proudly announced that the battery was full. So I know the charger works well too.

Well worth its very reasonable cost.

Note1: The padding grips a Nano extremely well.

Note2: The product is large and gets slightly in the way of ‘P’ & ‘R’ on my gear lever.

UPDATE: I’m currently in a Middle East country that seems to have only 4 FM radio stations, which leaves plenty of bandwidth. The sound quality from the radio is now EXCELLENT. At last, up to CD quality.
