These jack plugs are able to let you play your MP3 player through an amp or your hi-fi. I tried them yesterday and they work a treat. I bought these at a length of 1.2 metres so you might want a longer pair if you wanted to control your MP3 player at a distance. There is a chance though that you may just lose a bit of sound quality if you go for longer leads.

This is a bargain and could just be what you are looking for. The jack plugs are gold tipped too. Just plug one end into your headphone socket and the other into your audio in sockets on your amp/hi-fi. Best make sure that your piece of kit has the audio in sockets first.

Don’t bother with docking stations (esp if you’re not a ipod user). If your hifi has an aux, just use these. CHeap and cheerful. Won’t charge but plays music fine.
