They are advertised as red/blue but are actually red/cyan… or almost.

The cyan filter lets through loads of red (which it obviously shouldn’t) so they’re completely useless for red/cyan anaglyph viewing.

I’m very disappointed with this purchase. :s

I expected the quality of these glasses to be better than, say, the paper-based ones usually supplied with some Bluray discs. I tried out a number of 3D films but the colour quality was nowhere near the 2D version. I think that manufacturers need to come up with better quality glasses that show colours much closer to the orignal colour. Very disappointing quality at present. Not recommended.

I got these as I really don’t like the paper ones that you get with the films. I sat down to watch a 3D film and they simpkly didn’t work! I put the paper ones on and they worked. I really didn’t understand why the glasses didn’t work and I am not happy. What I did notice was that the red lens was on the left side but on the paper ones the red lens was on the right. I don’t know if that was a factor or not. I would not recommend these whatsover.

Absolutely useless stuff. Don’t buy this, don’t repeat my mistake. Pair of cheap paper glasses will do work much more better

The glasses look cool and feel cool. The problem is the Cyan lens is too light, which allows red light to bleed through it. The purity of the colours for filtering cannot be overstated. Don’t get me wrong they do work, just not as well as a cheap pair of paper ones I have. The 3D image relies entirely on the the eyes seeing two separate images. When the colour bleeds through the lens it causes unsightly artifacts in that eye, which spoils the 3D effect. For the price I would have expected much better. Think I’ll stick with the cheap ones. Digital cameras and freely available software, open up the world of 3D photography and there are many brilliant 3D images online, including Space and Mars missions. 3D images provide a far superior picture than a 2D picture can portray. The 3D effect seems to greatly enhance the detail somehow. BTW The polarised glasses are a waste of time for the home, but may possibly work with photographic slide projections, 2 views photographed through each polarised lens? Haven’t tried it though.
