My new phone does not have a cable connection to PC and I wanted the ability to download any photos I might take on the phone. I am new to Bluetooth but this dongle was easy to install and worked perfectly with the Nokia PC Suite – and so cheap.USB Bluetooth Dongle for Mobile phones, PDAs, PCs – Universal – Vista Compatible – Compliant with V2.0, V1.2 and V1.1 Bluetooth Fulfilled exclusively by accessory shop.

I bought this item for use mainly with Nokia PC Suite (on XP), to replace a previous model which had proved to be hopelessly unreliable. This one uses the Widcomm software, which installed without problems and works perfectly every time – unlike the dreadful IVT Bluesoleil stack of my previous dongle. Nokia claims compatability with Bluesoleil but I have had nothing but problems so even if the hardware appears identical I suggest avoiding anything using the Bluesoleil s/w.

This does exactly the job it says it will. Easy to install on Vista and works straightaway with a Nokia 6300. Connects as soon as I walk in the door updating contacts and calendar dates. Excellent.

I bought the bluetooth USB adapter to work with my computers (I have a desktop running xp and a laptop running vista)and my Samsung phone. Installed bluetooth on to my desktop and as they say it worked “straight out of the box” no problems but getting it to work on my acer aspire 6930z laptop has been :o( I just can’t get it to install properly. Have looked on the internet and have not found an answer that works for me. One of the suggestions was to remove any wireless mouse installed (I have a Logitec wireless mouse on both computers) have not tried this yet. Have also installed the latest vista driver from the product website still no success. I would rate it as 1 star for vista and 4 stars for xp
