My son wanted an IPod for his 6th birthday, and this fits the bill superbly. It looks amazingly like an IPod Nano, comes in a range of lovely colours with an LCD screen and simple USB charger and is a fraction of the price. He’s over the moon with it. Plus the service was excellent.

bought a 4GB one of these for my 6 year old daughter and, at first, I thought it would be too dificult for her to understand, so I didn’t give her the instructions, which were poor. Fiften minutes after opening it on Christmas morning, she had worked out how to use it herself with no assistance. Because she had no instructions, she just started exploring the menus herself and had managed to load music on and play it much to my amusement. After a bit of coaching from me, we had converted her CD collection to MP3 format and loaded it on to the player for her (it has to be converted to MP3 format first – we downloaded a program from the internet called FREERIP which was a dawdle to use).

Her best friend got an Apple iPod which is three or four times the price of this item and, as it was only meant to be a stocking filler, I couldn’t justify spending so much. However, they can’t tell them apart and she hasn’t put it down since Christmas – no other gift has captured her imagination for so long. She has discovered music in a big way now. The sound quality for such a cheap item is breathtaking.

I would give it 5 stars for quality, 5 stars for ease of use and 5 stars for value (more if I could), however, the instructions are basic at best.

Unfortunatly a waste of money and time…. this was a present for our 7 year old daughter to see if she could respect an ipod before paying lots of money for one… what the product info does not tell you is that you need a particular program on your computer to transfere music files to this Mp3. The product itself was confusing to use, it came with instructions and a letter explaining that the instructions pertain to a different product, so after spending an evening trying to load music files and work out which buttons controlled which functions on the Mp3 we decided to order her an ipod, expensive but realiable and does exactly what it advertises. Don’t waste your money on this product, it is cheap and nasty!

The service of the seller is excellent. They asked me what colour I prefer, and I received the item next day. However, the quality of this item is poor.
