I bought this to convert my mini USB car charger to fit the mini pin on my new blackberry. I use googlemaps to find my way rather than GPS so need to power the phone for music and maps on long journeys. The adapter fits securely and doesn’t come out by accident, which was my main concern with it being attached to the bouncy coil wire of the car charger.

I have not used this for transferring data so cannot comment on whether or how well that works.

This adapter fulfils my need perfectly and is far cheaper than a new car charger.

it does exactly what it says on the er.. tin.

It will allow you to charge a micro usb device using a mini usb cable, but won’t pass data, so no use to synchronise or to copy files. I have a winmo HTC HD2 phone, which I synch with my laptop, but I need the HTC supplied cable to do it. Even so, this is still a handy item to have when I’m on the move and just need to charge the phone (which it needs a lot!).

Saw other reviewer had problems, mine worked fine and great for avoiding having to carry another charger in my bag
