The description for this product is a bold faced lie.

These are NOT Apple earbuds. I ordered this item and was shipped a knock-off pair of white generic headphones despite the NUMEROUS statements in their decription as “Apple iPod headphones made by Apple”.

People need to stop reviewing Apple iPod earbuds on this page as this leads to more customers believing that they are actually made by Apple.

Well what can i say, i cant believe i have put up with these for almost a year now, got my ipod the back end of last may and i finally decided to throw away the crap headphones.

Points i have noticed over the months are that the left one falls out of my ear….alot, the sound is quiet so i can hear other peoples conversation, it doesnt help when the headphone starts creeping out of my ear either :-P.

This morning i tried my old headphones, from a philips 512mb mp3 player, about 3 years old, problem there was that the jack was to small so i found an extension and was blown away with the sound, i couldnt believe i had put up with these ones for so long when all i had to do was reuse my old ones, I have gone for some Sennheiser Cx300’s through recomendation, glad to throw these apple earphones in the bin.

Oh and another point before i go is that the cable has started coming out of the headphones, which knocks the sound off that lil bit more, not good, AVOID AT ALL COSTS and get some decent ones!!!!!

Apple are great at iPods. They are not great at earphones. If you have lost or damaged yours then I would strongly recommend that you do not replace them like for like.

In essence, they do the job. However, with the sort of technology found inside the iPod, it really deserves earphones of a superior quality. My Apple earphones were tinny and I found them to damage easily. Coversely, invest a few pounds more for a pair of Sennheiser and you will (hopefully) delight in the results – more sturdy, a great range and a great feel all round.

I got these with my iPod Video last year, sound-wise they were okay to begin with, but after a few months the sound got worse and more crackly. They don’t fit in the ear that well (unless I have really weird shaped ears, which I’m sure I don’t!) and easily fall out. When your playing music quite loud it’s easily hearable by other people, when your on a bus or something, you get horrible looks lol. And although mine haven’t actually broken yet, you can tell just by looking at them and feeling them that they’re crappy quality and could break any time.

I can’t believe they are trying to make people pay £20 for these, that’s terrible. I’ve has headphones from £1 shops better than these!

I advise not to buy.

A set of these earphones came with my ipod and lasted about three months before the cable tore away from the earphone and a rattle started in the left earphone when listening to loud music. Dont waste your money on these.
