i was expecting a similar product to the piece of film used for shipping these (and all) phones. i was happily shocked. its a semi rigid screen cover which is totally transparent and incredibly easy to apply. first you clean the screen with the cloth provided, then peel half of the backing off, align the protector which is a perfect fit and remove the rest of the backing. then peel off the protective cover on the outside, which is a wonderful idea!

due to it’s design, no air bubbles formed and is a joy to use. I love the high gloss finish which seems less sticky than the original screen, making it easier to use.

perfect product

This isn’t an expensive product, the packaging looked very professional and better than I was expecting for less that £2. However, the product itself was scratched when I received it, I found it hard to apply without a large number of bubbles and after re-applying again and again to get a better fit, it has ended up in the bin. I did try to follow the instructions, and of course there is a chance I was getting it badly wrong, but all in all I’m not impressed with this item.

I found the cleaning cloth provided in pack left tiny filaments of fibre on screen; got most off but unfortunately saw one too late, and by electrostatic action was attracted to adhesive side of protection film;

no way to remove. Recommend you DO NOT USE cloth provided. Use a spectacle cleaning cloth.

Secondly the blue tab on edge of protector film doesn’t peel off cleanly; well not mine. Left sticky residue; turps will clean it off after some experimentation with water, meths & Isopryl alcohol.

Have bought other similar items before for satnav, and they included more than 1. I conclude this is poor value with it’s notional 1p cost & P+P.

Always get one with spares, as the protector will get marked, lose adhesion in time.
