This is,in my humble opinion, a brilliant battery. It does exactly what the Canon blurb says. Only 4 stars because of the expense and it surely cannot be beyond the wit of all those Canon boffins to have made this fit the 30, 40, 50 or 5D Now I have to carry two sets of batteries and a charger for each set….a real downer….Still a great battery.

This is the standard battery for the Canon 5d2 and 7d. I have the latter and bought it as a contingency. However – for that particular shoot the original didn’t run out – these things seem to last for aeons. Despite this I am still confident that I will genuinely need it later this year and am always happier with a fully charged spare in my bag. And while there are always brand X alternatives to be had for less, having spent many £££s on my photographic implement of choice, this seems an unobjectionable price to me for the genuine article.

Needless to say – delivery was as expected and nothing to fault with Amazon as usual.
