What a complete waste of money. I’ve got a beat up old pair of Sony earphones that cost about £15 that are better than this rubbish. I can’t suggest an alternative but I wouldn’t buy these!

I have ver good ears and can precisely find flaws in audio equipment. This earphone is nothing like the rave reviews you see here. The ep-630’s sound is analogous to the frequency profile of today’s music CDs. It is obnoxiously loud and lacks in range. The lower range is disproportionately amplified. No matter how much i tweaked the equalizer of my player, i couldn’t get a flat output. Untrained ears will obviously be fooled by the loudness. If you dearly love music and cannot afford high end earphones, let me take the liberty to point you to the cheap koss portapro. You can thank me the day you realize that you’re different. For the money, the ep-630s are okay as long as you don’t listen to any music. There are companies making magnitudes more for worse thus the 2 stars.

…these really are the best in-ear headphones I’ve ever heard.

Bought these as a supposed upgrade on the set supplied with my Creative Zen. The bass is dead, the middle and upper range horribly tinny and despite what other reviewers have said, you have to turn the volume way up compared to the standard phones. I wasted my money – dont waste yours!!

Just bought these, for what I thought would be a good replacement for the standard white apple earphones. As soon as they arrived I immediately did a direct comparison like-for-like and the initial impression was very dissapointing. I found them very bright, then when going through every EQ possible on the iPod, made them muddier rather than enhancing the lacklustre bass from these phones. They are comfortable, but the overall balance, warmth and (now I realise) richness of the Apple will take a significant expenditure to beat! I’m wondering what the quality of other manufacturers standard mp3 player headphones must be like if people are giving these 5 stars!
