Product Description
Displaying favourite photographs in the kitchen by sticking them to the fridge with a fridge magnet is something that everyone is familiar with. But we’re in the 21st century now, so what if the fridge magnet itself could display not one, but a whole selection of pictures? Well, this new Digital Photo Frame Fridge Magnet can do just that! Digital Photo Frames are now common technology but this takes the concept and shrinks it down into a handy size that has a magnetic back, perfect for attaching to a fridge. It also comes with a fold-out support strut so that it can be displayed to great effect on a shelf or mantelpiece too. Able to scroll through up to sixty-six images as a slideshow, the digi-frame can also be paused on a favourite picture. Conveniently, there is also a time display function too. Simple to use software is included, and although this tiny digital photo frame features the latest display technology, it’s very easy to use. Or – if you were to pre-load it with family pictures, it makes a great gift for relatives, especially proud grandparents. The screen itself is wonderfully crystal clear with virtually no visible pixels for high quality image reproduction. It’s also perfectly safe to be used in a kitchen, as it can be wiped clean with a soft cloth. So, there’s now no need to choose which pictures to stick on the fridge – you can have them all!

First I have to say this isn t a toy it is proper photo digital frame designed for the fridge. It has a magnet to make it easy to attach to fridges and other metal objects, it does also have a little stand, if you want to use that. Quality wise it is sound, the actual frame has a metal like border round it. However, I wouldn t like to drop it on a hard floor because I think it would break.

It gets its power from charging from the usb port on a computer. Typically one charge will allow it run for about a day on my fridge.

The instructions are very clear, you must use the included software to download photos to it. It doesn t allow you to just copy and paste. The software comes on a small disc which didn t auto run on my computer. I just clicked on it, in the my computer section and ran the installation from there. I then attached the photo frame and was told no photo frame was connected. This was solved by simply restarting the computer, and then attaching the frame, the computer then recognised it and the software ran. I add this because the instructions do not tell you to restart which may catch some people out.

You have to click the second selection on the screen to download photos to it for it to be recognised by the computer. The first selection is the usb charge which does simply that, but the computer doesn t know it is there so it just charges it and it can just be pulled out from the usb plug. The software is basically just a section where you can open folders on your computer. I found my photos were displayed by number so I thought it was easier just to make a new folder called fridge photos and have all the photos I wanted to transfer in this folder. It was then just a case of opening this folder up.

Under this section, your picture is displayed in the position it will appear on your frame. I had to turn my photos so they would be displayed the right way. Once you have done this you just click a button then it transfers it across to another section for photos to be displayed on the frame plus current ones on it (which you can delete at this point). Once you have all your photos ready you just click the synchronise button and it downloads the photos to the frame, very quickly. You then press the safely disengage usb devices on the computer in the system tray and tell the computer to stop it, to detach it from the computer.

You can then attach it to anything metallic that a magnet can stick to or just have it standing up by itself. I was quite impressed by the picture quality of the display, I wasn t really expecting it to be so good for the price of the product but it is. Photos are sharp with vibrant colour.

The frame can display one photo or you can have it displaying all your photos in a slideshow which is what I do. There are a selection of transitions between the photos eg the photo sliding across to reveal the next photo. The time can also be displayed but if the photo frame uses up all its battery it does lose the time.

I really do like this product and do have 2 full size Philips 7 inch frames too so I can favourably compare it. At this price it is ideal for a present or a stocking filler.

I definitely can recommend it.

If you want a digital photo frame then I would recommend this because it’s a good price and fits nicely on your fridge. I bought it for my mum because she has a massive collection of fridge magnets and the photos I put on it look good. The annoying thing is you have to charge it with a USB but overall a good product that I would recommend.

I expected the dimensions to be of photo size, it describes the product as being 2.4 TFT LCD but what does that mean if you don’t know?!!!

They could have stated it as being 2.4″, for those not in the know.

The exact dimensions of the screen are: 3.75cm by 5cm.

The total dimensions of the frame are 5.5cm by 8.5cm.

It seems to be a good product technically, but if you want to see the pictures clearly you have to be quite close to it, I’d think again if you’re buying this for someone with impaired vision!
