This is a good solid piece of kit but it will only hold the basic iPhone 3GS. If you have a protective case on your iPhone you have to remove it each time to fit the phone into the holder.
It is a shame because the kit itself is good quality, but I don’t want to remove the rubber casing every time I get in the car. The description says ‘made to measure’ and it is a very snug fit for the iPhone without a case.

Great product, holds my iphone 3g perfectly so i can listen to music wirelessly and have my sat nav on the iphone going too. i dont have a cover for my iphone as i believe the iphone is a too good looking to be ruined by a cover. plus i got insurance on my phone so if its damaged im covered.

What a shame, decent enough holder in many ways and even comes with a car charger.
BUT… I have a Zagg protective film on the front and back, the holder is so tight you can’t get the phone in without damaging your very thin protective film (screen protector)….never mind case. Check out the two corners, the plastic returns inwards which damages the protective film on the front. The plastic clip in the middle is so stiff that too will damage your protective film.
Come on most people have some sort of protection on their iphones. I need to look for a different mount now.
Only buy this if you have nothing on your iphone and not bothered about scratching it.

I gave it two instead of one star as I think it would have been a very good cheap product, held the iphone well, was versatile, cheap, etc… but the suction cup just broke off on the third use…
