I bought the Epson stylus photo R300 with the original ink cartridges

no problems at all, tried a cheaper make of ink cartridges picture quality was terrible nozzles would always get blocked.

For £40 this is a bargain compared to how much I’d have to pay buying these from a retail store.

I have just started using this ink (with my new printer) and I am very pleased with the results. The colours are superb and bring out the clarity of the photographs. The colours are true and I have had had excellent results with my photos. The prices are high I know, but it’s good when there is a reduction and they are then on line with compatibles! I much prefer to buy Epson ink cartridges and especially when they are reduced.

In Sep’07 I bought a multi pack thro’ Amazon which was supplied by seller ext360. These were supplied in a jiffy bag with no outer packaging. Subequently two cartridges would not be accepted by my printer and appeared to be slightly different in appearance from the empty cartridges. As I was outside the 90 day warranty period neither Amazon or Epson were interested in my problem.

My advice to anyone not receiving the correct TO487 packaging is to reject the order & inform Amazon immediately.

I’ve always used genuine Epson inks as I know other people who don’t and invariably their printers stop working after a while.

The only issue I have is that the inks seem to run out quite quickly, well after a lot less prints than the advertised expectancy. This may be because I don’t print that much or that often so they dry up. This is what another reviewer suggests and I tend to agree.

When you buy inks to replace it for your Epson printer it is much better buying the brand inks itself than those clone inks, e,g print head getting clogged with the cline inks.

Yes, buying the clone inks for your Epson printer maybe cheaper, but the quality of the colours sometimes aren’t as vibrant as the Epson inks itself (depending what economic inks you buy). Also the clone inks, in time, the colours will fade (noticeable in a photo picture). Meaning you have to reprint another one to replace the faded photo which is going to cost money. So why not splash out a descent Epson inks in the first place and save the hassle of reprinting it again.

The reason why i gave it only 4 stars is because of the price, apart from this the Epson’s inks are superb quality and you should really get these, than the clones.

I will reconmmend buying this Espon six pack inks as it is alot cheaper than buying it seperate.
