Well I got mine last month. Now it’s broken.

Specifically, the adaptor part that plugs into my laptop. This part of the charger sticks out about an inch where the adaptors plug in, and I think there’s a loose connection between the power supply and the adaptor, because I’m not getting any juice through.

This product is cheap. Worked fine for a month, then packed up. I’m tempted to buy another one because it’s so cheap, but if I have to buy a new one every month then the cost is going to rack up.

Easy to use, easy to set up select volatage by a fixed attachment which seems safer than some model’s I needed to ensure the kids could’nt change the selected voltage and fry the laptop so this was great.

I guess it will cover other Laptops as it came with an array of different adatpers but my old unit was an ACER which I bought the AC adapter so the kids can use the unit I needed a cheap replacement the ACER unit was too expensive I could buy a 2nd hand laptop for that price. So this fits the bill and worked perfectly.

Arrived within 2 days, pretty impressive on standard delivery too.

Hope this helps.

Given the cost of laptop power supplies (easily £50-£70), this adaptor is a bargain. Using 2 or 3 laptops between us, my wife and I were collapsing under cables. This is a great ‘cheap’ alternative and will power virtually any modern laptop / netbook (works on my Acer). I have even used it on an external hard drive.

The first issue with this product was that it didn’t come with any instructions whatsoever. You have to connect up many little pieces from a selection of adaptors etc and a certain amount of guesswork is required in order to complete the verging on Krypton factor style task.

Never the less I did get it all connected correctly in order to be compatible with my Toshiba Equium laptop. However, the other issue is that it appears to take a lot longer to charge than the original adaptor and actually does not charge at all if plugged in whilst using the laptop. If you keep an eye on the battery level percentage it simply does not go down any further while plugged in, but never actually recharges at all either.

All in all it has served a purpose and enabled me to charge a laptop after my original adaptor went bang!

After reading some of the reviews on this item, I was satisfied that it would probably be a good buy and I thought I was right, easy to use, compatible with my laptop, and a bargan, what more could I want??

Well it was the biggest piece of junk I have ever purchased from Amazon. It worked fine for about 3 weeks at the most, then started giving me bother, sometimes charging and then not to it simply stpped working. Really take my advice, don’t buy this item, you are safer forking out the £50 and buying one that will last from Currys electrical store. They sell universal chargers and at least if anything goes wrong with it you can bring it back for an exchange/refund!!!
