Great little device for the money. Came with a case and cord lanyard. Turns itself off when done. Only issue is, printed writing on screen is small and you have to check twice to ensure pulse and oxygen level readings are not confused, especially when they are similar results.ie 92 pulse and 96 sats

I bought this to check patients’ sats quickly and easily. It is small and easy to use, but I have found that where O2 sats are less than about 96% (i.e when you actually need a reliable result), it will not settle on a reading, and the numbers it goes between show great variation. It’s ok for showing a patients sats are definitely OK, but no good for the patients you are worried about.

I used this the day it arrived and its a small and useful piece of equipment. The protective case is good and just about pocket sized.
The only gripe was it took a while to get a reading but with a bit of experimentation this was traced to blood on the testee’s finger, easily cured by wiping it clean before use.
Other times it produced a quick and accurate reading which we tested against other equipment that cost alot more money and found to be accurate.
Well worth the money.

I have been using this for a week now. It is true that when the SaO2 is 90 or higher, this device is very precise. It does not show absolutely wrong results when below 90, too, but in these occasions I prefer to check SaO2 with the equipment of the department (the range was +/- 1-2%). I find this device very helpful to keep in pocket (I find the soft case it comes with useful) when going to see my patients.
I have not had problems with messing the value of pulse with SaO2.
I think that the oximeter will prove itself even better because I have the experience of using it only for a week.

We bought this for our asthmatic 4 year old daughter as we were finding it hard to know how bad her asthma was. This gives us a good indication of how good her sats are and if her inhalers are helping. This has given us the reassurance we needed.
Well worth the money.
