It’s just a cable. It shouldn’t require a review, but there’s an overwhelming public opinion that you need to spend a great wad of cash to get a good HDMI cable. This isn’t a new revelation. It’s been around since SCART was born, and probably before that.

The difference now is that this new-fangled digital technology is so advanced, you obviously need to spend even more! Rubbish.

The cable’s thicker than I thought it would be; very robust. Plug it in and you’re away. Flawless 1080p from PS3 to 37″ LCD Screen. Not a flicker, or a ghost in sight. The gold plates are a nice touch, too.

And if it fails after a year (as so many of the big cable manufacturers claim the cheap ones will), I’ll buy another and still be in profit over a “real” cable. Not that it will break, it doesn’t move, has no moving parts, and unless I use it as skipping rope, it should last quite a while.

Even if you’re prepared to spend £30+ on a “real” cable, give this one a go first. If it’s not to your liking, then you’ve only wasted £4.50 (a pittance if you’ve always bought “real” cables). If you like what you see however, you’ll have saved a considerable amount instead of getting an expensive cable from a company that would also like to sell you a box to “clean-up” your electricity, or a very special and magic Network cable for over £70. I’m looking at you, Monster.

Delivery is a bit expensive (though quite fast), and there seems to be glitch when placing more than one in an order (so pay for each one separately). The only thing I am disappointed with, is that Amazon haven’t added this item to their Prime scheme; this could save you loads more.

This product can’t be faulted! Superb value for money and excellent service from the sellers make this a winner! The cable came in no time, and for £4.50 (including the £3.99 postage) it’s brilliant. Flawless picture and sound quality!

I’d just ordered a Playstation 3 and wanted a HDMI cable to make the most of it’s capabilities. Was looking at specific PS3 HDMI cables in all the shops and couldn’t find one for less than £15.00. Decided to be a cheap-skate and splash out £0.51 on this cable. Worst case scenario was it’s a rubbish product and i’ve learnt a valuble lesson for a meagre £0.51. However, I received the cable next day, much to my pleasent suprise, and then had to wait another 2 weeks before I got my Playstation. If only Carphone Warehouse were a quick as these guys!! The cable itself is excellent. I was a little concerned that being so cheap, it may be lacking quality, so I borrowed a very expensive one from a friend to compare and there was absolutely so difference. To summarise, buy this cable. As the title says, I can honestly say, this it the best value purchase I have ever made!!

I bought both the HDMI and the Optical cable and agree with everyone that they work fine and are good value. I just object to being charged 3.99 (x2)postage and packing for each cable, when the actual total cost is probably nearer 1 pound!I would rather that the product is priced correctly and the appropriate postage is charged.

Otherwise, still good value and good service.

Basically, if you need an HDMI cable, this is the one to go for. There is no loss of quality in a HDMI cable of this length. Expensive cables should only be used for long distances. Using a computer to analyse the data recieved and transmitted through HDMI cables of this length, their is no loss of anything, period.

So, there you have it. Unless you like showing of your cables or have more money than sense, this is the cable for you.
