The Franklin CWM-108 is recommended without reservation. Our recent purchase of this very useful gadget was to replace an identical version which has given excellent service for a lengthy period, but now sadly somewhat tired. The required battery is reasonably priced and we have found it to last six months or better.

I have found that the machine is very small 11×7 cms and the key pad is too small to work easily with it,I usually use a ball point to press the keys

The lid is also a nuisance as you have to hold it open whilst you try to tap in the keys

I have taken the lid off and this makes it easier to use

The actual crossword solver is ok but it doesnt want to know about split word answers ie let up or like a charm

Maybe it would suit somebody with dainty fingers

I shall be looking for another machine

Bought this for Christmas for my wife to replace previous solver which I lost. It is much better than the previous one, easy to use, A very reasonable price and comes up with good suggestions. Fully recommended.
