I’ve had a few different fm transmittors and this is one is the best one I’ve had, the smaller I-trip for the video ipod doesn’t allow you to charge and transmit at the same time so not good for ling journey’s. This one is a cradle, transmittor and charger all in one and is dead easy to use!! I don’t find that it loses its signal like the itrip does either so all in all I’d recommend!!

I have had one of these for about a year now and bought my sister one for Christmas ’05 . . . neither of us have experiencd any problems and are both extremely happy with our Road Trips!

Using a Road Trip also means that your iPod is always fully charged and ready to go – unlike other radio transmitting devices! The iPod is also not loose in your vehicle and prone to damage!!

I would not hesitate to recommend this item . . .

Great product, works really well. Despite some of the negative reviews it comes with an iPod Nano adapter as standard now and iFillLE radio adapter too.

The only negative thing to say, is that due to how is is made – a solid arm (like a robot arm with joints) from your cigarette lighter, if your space is tight it won’t fit. This is not obvious from the ‘what you get’ and spec’s above.

It won’t fit properly in our Mazda 5, so it will unfortunatley have to go back. It would have been better with a bracket that fitted an air vent or stick on, or suction cup mount.

The first one I received was faulty but Amazon replaced immediately without question and the new one works extremely well. I’m using it in a Renault Clio and it sits very nicely and is easily accessible. I’ve also used it at home to play the music on my PC through my HiFi and again it works well. This really beats the cassette adaptor with wires trailing, it’s very neat and compact.

The product works, but is a bit tricky to set up initially and depending on where the lighter socket is in your car it can be a bit unattractive or near your gear sticks. I was disappointed that you could not use this on your home audio systems too. I’m guessing that there may be a better multiple use i trip system? Overal, happy that it works for now, but I’ll be looking to see if there’s anything better on the market. I’d say it’s good value for money.
