Just had to agree with all the other reviewers about this wonderful little speaker dock. I shopped around before I decided on this little beauty and I was not dissapointed. The quality of the sound from such a small unit is amazing, crisp and clear, with great bass and treble even when the sound is up high. This little unit fills a large room with sound, I have mine in a large kitchen and it copes well. It is a neat and sleek little unit that sits (not quietly) in any corner you want to put it. Mine was bought so I could play my Samsung Yp-k5 Mp3 player and although it is not an ipod and the remote only works for the volume up and down it is well worth the £50-60 price tag. If you have an ipod then you get all the pluses of the dock and a full working remote control( but I still wouldn’t swap my samsung)!. I have even caught my husband using it and even he has to agree it is a great little unit. I am going to get one for my bedroom so I don’t have to keep carrying it up and down the stairs. Don’t hesitate, a really good buy.

For a couple of weeks I was torn between these speakers and the Intempo RDI with DAB. Eventually (and reluctantly) I went with the Intempo IDS05B for 3 reasons:

1. I couldn’t afford the RDI,

2. The RDI would be too big for my bedroom,

3. I already have an Intempo DAB radio.

So after looking at several websites, Amazon turned out to have the best price (£45) for the IDS05B.

When the speakers arrived I have to admit that I was dissapointed by the size of them. They look good but they were smaller than I had imagined(The remote supplied is nearly as tall as the speakers). It turns out that their size is deceptive, the sound that comes out is MASSIVE!

I tried out a wide range of different music (I have a very random taste in music) from Alicia Keys to Public Enemy to The Specials to The Killers to etc….. You get the picture, all music genres were tested, at high and low volumes to see how these speakers coped. It turns out all types of music sound fantastic, I really can’t fault anything. Incidently, spoken word podcasts also sound great.

The remote supplied is really good quality and it works from several metres away from the speakers. The speakers, although they have plasic casing and are light have a very high build quality. They are clearly very well designed and made.

So don’t bother spending over £100 for ipod speakers, infact, don’t spend over £50. You really won’t want to spend more after hearing the quality of sound produced by this compact unit.

After reading loads of reviews, I eventually settled on this model. I was a bit skeptical at first as its quite small. I plugged in my 30GB Ipod, pressed play and was amazed by the sound quality, it is is fantastic! There is no sound distortion at all.I was really surprised. I have bought another two!

I love my new Intempo docking speakers, I recently joined the 21st century with an 8 gb ipod nano, and find these speakers are fantastic for listening to it around the house. What a great idea to be able to access all of your music at the click of a button. Great sound for such small speakers. I am really pleased I bought them.

I bought these for my husband as a birthday presant. He has a 30gb ipod.

i was a bit wary that the speakers were only 3 watts each and a 9watt subwoofer and they would not be powerful enought (and to play his metal music!). However! i needed not have worried. They are very powerfull speakers and the sound quality is crisp and perfect. Even when the sound is very loud it is not distorted. So far he is absolutely thrilled with this presant and i would highly recommend. they are a neat size also. Hi-fi’s are now a thing of the past!
