The connector fell apart the very first time I disconnected it from my iphone. I’ve now learnt my lesson – buy the real Apple accessories rather than cheap alternatives that won’t hack it.

Ordered this item two days ago and received it today – I was somewhat unsure after reading the previous review however the two leads I received worked perfectly with my 3G Iphone. They both connected no problems to the computer and also charged the phone. The connectors were slightly tight to push into the phone compared to the original apple lead but otherwise could not fault them for the price. I would have to recommed them at this stage as an alternative to the more expensive apple leads. – will update in future if I find a problem with them.

Got this lead to use as a spare charger in our motorhome. Could not tell the difference between it and the lead that came with the phone. It is a quality made item that fits and works just like the real thing.

One of iPhone weakness is battery and I am often concern about batterey gone flat at work then I had decide to purchase iPhone USB Charge cable. Plug into my PC USB and continues charge my iPhone.

Although this connects my iPhone 3GS to my PC, and allows it to sync, it will not charge – “Charging is not supported with this accessory” is what it says. Seeing as it’s advertised as a “SYNC CHARGE” cable, it just doesn’t do what it says on the tin. Closer inspection shows that at least 2 of the pins aren’t wired on this cable that are on the original.
I am now however amending this review. Having emailed the company to inform them of the error, within a few hours they have replied with an apology and a promise to send out a replacement 1st class delivery. Providing this then does the job I will have no hesitation in upping the rating.

UPDATE: This amazon reseller sent me a replacement cable which works absolutely fine. It seems again to be a good quality cable and at 5 times cheaper than the orginal, I am more than happy with this product. Thanks to the reseller for their good customer service and swift delivery of the replacement.
