To date, I’ve used this card reader to read both CF cards and microSD cards and the transfer speed is impressive: transferring a mixture of JPEG and RAW images from a 4GB (133x) CF card took less than four minutes, which is about 18MB/sec.

The device appears on your PC as five removable drives, one for each of the card slots, and it was quick to recognize and load the cards that I tested.

The only slight weakness is that the built in USB connector is on a very short lead, which may not prove practical if your USB ports aren’t located near the front of your PC/laptop. However, an extension lead is provided with the card reader, so this isn’t really an issue: just an extra cable to carry around with you.

All in all, given the price, portability and performance of the device, I’d have to say that it’s excellent value for money and highly recommended.

Bought this item to replace my old Sandisk reader which couldn’t read SDHC cards. Main purpose for it is to download pictures to an SDHC card for use in a digital photoframe & it worked perfectly. Product also reads Sony memory duo sticks for my digital camera & micro SD cards for my Samsung mobile without adaptors so pleased with this as well.

It is well manufactured & easy to install & use on my XP SP3 pc – just plug in & the pc tells you it has located & installed new hardware then off you go ! It has a short lead at the back to plug directly into a USB port on your pc or you can connect a longer extension usb cable also supplied with the reader if leaving plugged in for long periods. The face of the reader also retracts into the body of the reader to protect the card ports & a small red light on top flashes to tell you data is being transferred.

This is my first Kingston product but I would recommend it without hesitation.

the card reader was very easy to set up just plug in and go!!!nothing else is needed. It appears on your computer as five drives, and as soon as you place your card into the device it loads just like a usb flash drive and your asked how you would like to open the card. very simple to use.

the fact that the reader slides within its own casing is very handy if you have to place one or more large cards into the machine at the same time. a slight draw back is the short usb connector with the device. On the plus side an extension cable is provided so if you dont have a front facing usb port then its useful. the large kingston logo lights up when a card is placed into machine. A very asethetically pleasing device

this device is great for price, performance, ease of use and portability. I would recommend to anyone who asks. also it is difficult to find a machine that reads the sony memory stick pro duo and the duo adaptor. this does both so very happy!

We take over five thousand photos a year and transfer them from the card onto the computer several times a day. This is the first card reader since the original sandisk reader that can take the wear and tear without the pins getting bent or breaking. What is even better is that it costs less, is more compact with no trailing wires and reads multiple cards types. I can’t fault it. We have three and all are still working well after heavy use.

Product does all it promised. Only one fault – small strip of plastic cover between microSD slot and MMCmicro slot snapped on first use as microSD card stuck in reader. Fortunately, as reader is 19 in 1 and we have a micro/miniSD adapter all is well.
