The silicone cover for the zx1 is a good protective product and does not stop you from using the video camera and all its features.

this is ideal for saving your pocket video from wear & tear and also if you drop it, great product also free when i bought the video player.

provides a robust cover to the camera, but the left handside rubber feels a little loose when it’s fitted on, so doesn’t grip the unit as tightly as I’d like. that said, it came bundled for free as part of the very nice Amazon deal on offer with the camera at the minute. would have been disappointed if I’d paid for it…

The cover provides excellent protection for the camera, however if you wish to use the supplied lanyard you will need to punch/cut a hole to access the connection point on the camera.
Another small difficulty I have noted is when using it with a Joby Gorillapod, the thickness of the silicone cover prevents the attachment foot screw reaching the threaded hole in the Zx1. Luckily Joby supply a spare attachment foot which can be adapted to fit by “surgically” removing the grey pad which then allows the extra reach required.
