No idea how good the TV is or not. Amazon and citylink were unable to deliver at the agreed time, or even the agreed week. Delivery eventually refused. Thank you Currys for the good service!

Delivery in less than two days, TV excellent picture etc. would have rated it 5 stars if the rear connections included audio out via RCA type sockets & if remote control lower functions buttons were a little larger, not an ideal size in low light or if your vision is not of the highest order, othewise highly recommended.

As everybody else has said, great TV…the sound the picture, easy to set up etc.

My one small annoyance is with the program guide. I have a 3 year old PVR/Digital Receiver where you can delete channels you are not interested in and also reorder all channels the way you want them. It appears the program guide on this TV does not have this functionality, certainly for the freeview section.

So i now do not use the built in freeview for watching TV but do so using my PVR. I only use the built in freeview if I wish to record on both tuners of the PVR and watch a 3rd program which is rarely.

If the funtionality is indeed there, I cannot find it, in the TV menus or the manual.

I had never watched/viewed anything in HD/Blu Ray before and wondered how it could get any better then my original digital picture. Watching in HD is an improvement, but if you’re expecting it to be many times better, then think again. I now have it linked to a full HD Samsung 1000W surround sound and it has made a huge difference. I really reccomend a high quality upscaling DVD/Cinema system to go with the TV over a Blu Ray player as the sound improvement is much better then the visual improvement.

Overall a great all round TV, will not dissapoint.

I ordered this TV based on it’s reputedly good audio. It disappointed as soon as it was turned on; an audio hum was so intrusive while I tuned it initially that even when listening to program material I was aware of the hum in the background. It may have had a good picture and good audio quality (apart from the hum) but I could not live with it. Returned to Amazon and forked out the extra 50% for a Sony 32W5500 – absolutely no regrets. If you can live with the hum, save some money and go for it. Otherwise go for quality.
