Took delivery this morning(30/06/09)very large box but nice chaps from nightfrieght placed it right where I wanted it. Very easy to assemble the stand, and found that at 35kgs I could lift it on to the bench with no problems. The single sheet of glass on the front really does look very sleek , easy to connect up, switched on, and let it do its set up. The picture, even for SD broadcasts, is very good I imagine HD will be stunning, but, I didn’t buy a large screen plasma for watching soaps, Oh No. Connected up my D.V.D player(a P.S 2 using SCART AV 1) and watched the first 15 minuets of STAR WARS 3 revenge of the sith and STEALTH as both these films have fast action sequences with plenty going on. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING even through lowly scart, there is NO judder, smearing, wishy washy gray-blacks, just smooth, sharp, uninterrupted, fast flowing action, the 600hz scan and the depth of colour from the twin XD engine is SUPERB you have to see it to believe it even in day-light. Normal sound from the invisible speakers is very clear and plenty loud enough for everyday watching. I have my dvd connected up to a Sony surround sound but will have to upgrade to an up-scaling dvd surround with hdmi pretty damn soon.

All in all, for this money you CANNOT go wrong, well done LG.

Very happy with the television – a big step up from my previous CRT television. Great picture (deep blacks etc), powerful sound, strikingly big screen makes movies and games more impressive. Easy to use etc, and Freeview gave me a much better picture than my previous indoor arial – presumably because it’s digital.

However, after a fortnight, feel asleep watching it and when I woke up there was no picture and it was making a strange sound. I eventually realised the screen had cracked (the window reflection had hidden it). I’m presently in touch with LG about it, who are ordering a new screen to replace it (rather than just giving me a new TV). So a little bit more cautious about LG – I don’t know if this is a very rare one-off (would I have done a review if it hadn’t broken?).

This LG Plasma TV was top of the list for me for a couple of different reasons, one was becuase the features were fine for what I needed and 2 because the price from Amazon was cheaper than anywhere else.

Easy to set up, just make sure everything is connected before you switch on and then the TV will do mostly everything by its self. Easy to navigate around once its running, the TV picture is great when you run it on a DVD of Sky, Freeview can look a little susspect but that is just Freeview and not the telly.

It looks great, the swivel base it quite handy.

2 reasons why I did give it full 5 stars, one is because on the scart channel that Sky is plugged into, if the Sky is not switched on it makes a very high pitched tone and its quite loud, but as soon as Sky is turned on it goes away, and 2 is that the USB menu is not that great, the menu is a bit of a pain in the backside, it seems the TV only likes a list of the Music or Pictures and not inside folders, if its easy for the tv to access it plays ball quite well

Overall I would not pass this product by and Im very glad of the purchase and would purchase aagin.

Bought this for my parents and could not have chosen a better TV for them. Easy to use and setup. Picture quality is very good. Input selection is good. Now just have to upgrade them to HD devices.
