Very impressed by this system considering the price tag.My perception of LG has always been “cheap and nasty”,but I take that back !

Both sound and vision are excellent. The onscreen menu is easy to navigate, and the setup section has a very useful individual speaker test to ensure that all the cable connections are sound.

The ability to view Youtube is really useful,as well as being able to access your own media files from your PC.

My only real complaint would be the lack of a headphone jack, but I was aware of this beforehand.

Overall,I would strongly recommend this system.

Great little system and very reasonably priced for the quality of sound. Speakers are stylish and small enough not to make an impact in our minimal living room. The only downside was the rear speaker cables are slightly too short but that was easily ammended. It also connected to our Virgin box so we can listen with surround sound wherever it’s possible. Deffinately reccommend it.

It’s this simple, if you’re looking for a great Blu Ray Cinema System and you don’t want to pay a fortune then this is the kiddy for you! Like other reviewers my perception of LG was ‘yuk….cheap and nasty’ Wrong! I’d bought an LG 42″ HDTV off Amazon the previous week after seeing it in a show room window. Wow, it was simply superb! Picture, sound, features all excelent. Certainly won me over as far as LG are concerned. So,after the usual research on Google I came to the conclusion that I should go for LG when choosing a Cinema System. Glad I did. It’s easy to set up and if you do have any connection problems then LG provide a great help line (0844 8475454)Playback and picture quality are awesome and the sound is wonderful. As you’d expect your blu rays shine but what is so imprssive is how well the player upscales your DVD’S and thus gives superb picture quality. I watched the DVD of Terminator 3 the night I got the system and it looked absolutely amazing! A bargain price for a quality system. If you want quality and class on a budget (yes, it can be done) do yourself a favour and get one!

Fantastic value for money. I bought this Blu Ray Home Cinema system as a replacement for a Pioneer Home Cinema that was begining to let me down. I was a bit sceptical about how the LG would perform as the price seemed to be a bit too good to be true. Saying that its performance definately surpasses the more expensive system that it replaces (albeit 5-6yrs older). Good channel separation gives it excellent spacial definition front to back and left to right. Good clear base tones from the sub-woofer and clear speech from the centre speaker. The small round gloss black speakers are easy to hide but you probably will need speaker stands or wall mounts (both of which I already had :-)) to get the best out of them. Picture quality when watching a standard dvd certainly beats the older system as standard dvds are automatically upscaled to 1080p giving rich deep colours. The only down side is that I think the speaker cables could be a bit longer. System set-up was easy using the ‘test tone’ and ‘distance from listener’ facility found in the set-up menu. All in all, very satisfied indeed.
