I’ve used numerous cases for hard disks in the past, and I’ve always been a little disappointed with the teeny screws supplied with most of them. You need a microscope half the time to put them together! and they always look just that little bit better on the pictures than when they arrive. These ones are brilliant. They’re made of sturdy metal and simply snap open for the drive to fit in seconds with no need for screws. The circuit board inside looks well made and they’ve been running sweetly since I ordered 3 recently. They really do fit in your pocket and the price is perfect! A+++

Does what it says on the box. No frills, but good enough to do the job.

The case just snaps apart – no screws – HDD snug fit but slides in OK with a little pressure.

Plugged in with supplied USB cable and recognised straight away no problems. Works well with Win XP, Vista and Win 7 computers

Small LED changes colour orange/green on access and transfer of data which is a very useful indciator

Case feels a little flimsy when empty but seems solid enough once the HDD is inserted. Supplied with fabric protective carry case.

I have used a similar 2.5 EIDE HDD USB external case for some time and it has proved robust and very useful.

All in all this seems to be an excellent little device for portable back up and transfer of files.

Very happy with this SATA caddy. As I was only looking to use it a couple of times I didn’t want to spend a lot and this turned out to be one of the cheapest I could find.

The caddy itself is metal and you just seperate the top from the bottom, slide the HD in to the connector and reattach the top. Plugged in to USB on Win XP and it works straight away.

no brainer for the price really, cheap case but works just fine and very small … i havnt tried it with large sata drives in it yet (which may or may not be a problem) but works fine with the little toshiba 60gb sata recycled from an old laptop
