The MP3 FM modulator is a revolutionary development in in-car entertainment. Simply connect the FM transmitter to your car cigarette adapter and listen to your favourite music tracks through your car stereo directly from your personal music player or transform your USB flash memory stick into an MP3 player. The transmitter offers compatibility with a wide range of portable audio devices. Using the 3.5mm audio cable (included) you can connect almost all personal music devices such as iPod, MP3 players, personal CD players and many more. The transmitter can also be used to play music files directly from a USB flash memory stick/drive. Simply load your favourite music files onto the memory stick/drive and connect this directly to the transmitter via the integrated USB port. You have now converted a simple flash memory stick into an in-car MP3 player which you can control with the buttons to play, stop and skip music tracks with ease. The transmitter also offers a charging function if your personal music device can be charged via USB connection. Use the USB port on the transmitter to charge your music player providing you have the USB cable for the device. If you have an iPod you can charge it via the USB connection, however, you cannot play music whilst charging.

Fill a flask stick with MP3s and plug and play! I own an 8gb pen, which when i’m on holiday i empty of all my uni work and fill with music, 8000 tracks!! These can come with remote controls (not this model) but is it realy nessessary? It costs an extra £15 odd and unless you drive your car from the back seat, you’ll never use it, and i don’t especialy want my passengers choosing the music!! So, for a couple of £, its a really great buy.

Definately works, had it up and running in the car in a matter of seconds with a 2GB USB memory stick loaded with MP3s.

The 7 channels are not between 87.7 and 107.9, but in the ranges 87.7-88.9 or* 106.7-107.9 in .2 blocks (87.7, 87.9, 88.1 etc). I say OR because the unit only handles one of the ranges – mine came 87.7-88.9. If you have a radio station broadcasting strongly on the channel it will interfere but it seems to be quite clear if the station is broadcasting next to it, even if there is a little spillage – a station on 88.2 didn’t affect it. The channel markings on the unit are nearly impossible to see, but since you just push the CH button to move between them it doesn’t make much difference and the car stereo auto tuned into it without an issue – I recommend pressing play with a known song and letting the car stereo do all the work.

The seller tells me, apparently the device is not compatible with some memory sticks. It doen not work with both of the memory sticks that I have, a ‘2G Kingston Data Traveler’ and a ‘2GB LG’ Flash Memory. It does however work with a 1GB Kingston Data Traveler. Full credit to the seller, he offered a full refund…

OK, for the price what do you expect, but …

The buzz, hum and hiss created by the USB makes the product unusable. Unplug the USB device and the output is good enough … but that means you can’t charge and play at the same time.

It fizzled out after 3 days and is now dead ..I just cant be bothered with the returns process for a £10 deal only to have it replaced with another one :-)

I wanted to play mp3 music tracks mainly from 1GB USB pen through my car radio/cassette player and this does that superbly. Worked with first frequency I chose – 87.9 – and sound level is same as from radio. Clarity is excellent with no interference when driving. After switch off it restarts where left off, which I like. When playing tracks from my Sony mp3 player I have to turn the radio sound level up quite a lot but have full control of what plays.

Product arrived speedily and though p & p is twice the item price the overall cost is still excellent value.
