I am yet to use this product as I do not have a car at the moment however the adaptor fits into the palm pre perfectly and so I am assuming it will work fine.

Note when buying this, although cheap, it does not actually fit directly to the Palm Pre.
The reason is that the Palm Pre’s micro USB port cover gets in the way. Hence, it is necessary to cut away some of the plastic on one side of the charger’s micro USB connector to allow for this. Although the description above is thus somewhat misleading, it is an otherwise fine product at the price.
