I brought this item for my new ipod 4 gen nano.Anybody who want a mains charger i recommend you buy this it does work and chargers the ipod quicker the the usb.

I bought this to charge my new second generation (2G) iPod Touch. Apple have finally changed the iPod charger requirements after years of build-up such that old Firewire-based chargers are no longer supported. As a result, neither of my old iPod chargers are able to charge my new iPod Touch.
I didn’t want to spend nearly £20 on the official Apple USB charger, so I ordered 2 different cheaper chargers from Amazon hoping that at least one would work. As it turned out, this charger works perfectly but the other one I ordered didn’t work at all with my new iPod (despite being advertised as compatible).
This charges my iPod Touch 2G from almost completely flat to fully charged in just over 2 hours. Doesn’t seem to get too hot in use. It has all the usual electrical safety certification. I don’t really know what more a charger could offer really…
The only strange thing is that it is supposed to be black, the box label says it is black, but it’s actually white! Other than that, it is exactly as described.
Full marks – excellent value for money. 5 stars!

I got my daughters a 4th gen Nano each for christmas. I already have my own ‘apple’ charger for my i-pod video and was gutted to find that my charger did not charge my daughters new i-pods!. I purchased this charger and it worked perfect with the 4th gen i-pods.
This charger works well and is great value. Buy it!!

i bought this to charge my ipod touch. It very rarely works, i put it in my ipod and it does nothing, i have to fiddle around with it for a long time and sometimes it still doesn’t work!! That was a waste of time and money.
