I bought one of these for occasional use in the car. It was well recommended on another web site, similar price. It’s very nicely made and the metal clip seems strong. It’s a sound fit on a sun visor.I was surprised how easy it was to set up with my Nokia 6300, I’m no technophobe! It talks to you! Tells you when it’s On, ready for use, and off. Auto power off if you walk away with your phone and leave it switched on. Excellent sound quality, plenty of volume. Last number redial. Have not explored the speaking aspect but it speaks the callers number when they ring, I suspect it might speak the name stored in the mobile – but not sure. Handy to carry around the house or garden. Integral rechargable battery with charging leads from cigarette lighter AND lead to USB port. All in all this is excellent – why pay more?

Well made and nicely finished. Doddle to set up and the visor clip is strongly made so should cope for some time. Loud audio with clear, recognizable text-to-speech audio. My transmitted audio is not perfect but nobody I have spoken to has problems understanding at most road speeds. The battery seems to last forever – only charged it twice and I’ve owned it 3 months! Small enough to carry around if you so desire. In conclusion I can recommend this heartily, it is a good quality well made product.

Nexxus Drivespeech PRO Bluetooth Car Kit with TTS (Text-to-Speech)

I have now bought THREE of these…. every time a family member or friend sees how easy it is to use in my car, they are so enthusiastic and want one so I end up giving them mine and have to buy another one for myself! Sounds like an expensive business, and I guess it is, but at least I know they are using the mobile phone in their car legally – and safely. The Nexxus is really easy to set up, the instructions simply-worded and straight-forward to follow; it takes only a few seconds. Even linking it to the phonebook of your mobile, so that caller’s ID/name is spoken (rather than just a telephone number) is a doddle to set up! The battery life seems limitless – I have hardly even needed to charge the unit; this is helped by the automatic ‘turning off’ that applies whenever the phone it is linked to goes out of range for a few minutes, such as when I lock up the car and forget to turn the Nexxus off. The clip to attach it to the sun visor is very strong and secure; the unit never slips or works loose, no matter how many times I flick the visor up and down in sunny weather. I cannot rate it highly enough, well worth the money, cheap at the price.

How disappointing! Read the reviews on this product, all seemed very positive. Yes it was easy to set up, and yes it looks great, neat and stylish. clip is very strong so stays put when you clip onto visor. I can hear the caller perfectly however, all callers that have phoned me whilst I’ve been in the car and using the Nexxus have said they can’t understand what I’m saying “sounds like you’re calling froma tin-can” “sounds like you’re on the moon, can’t make out what you’re saying” so good in many areas but if the caller can’t make out what your’e saying then not very useful at all!

This was really promising. The unit is nice and solid, the text to speech is quite well thought out, the visor clip is a really good steel one and the speaker is clear and loud. I also love the way it can read out the name of the caller – a truely useful feature. It’s just really let down by the sound quality of the microphone. I have used it for a handful of calls and each time the person on the other end has commented on how awful it sounds for them. I can hear them just fine, but they just can’t hear me at all well. A real shame, because other than that it seems to be really good.

After less than a week it’s decommissioned, never to be used again. One star, because it just doesn’t fulfil it’s core purpose.
