I ordered this item on Wednesday morning and was delivered by Thursday lunchtime – wow what a quick delivery! This was ordered to go with my new Bold 9700 which I felt would give the best protection. I was not disappointed, the form factor of the case fits the phone like a glove. It is sturdy and gives very good protection. There are no screen protector films to mess around with as the case comes with a screen and camera protector built in to the case. The keyboard protector is a soft plastic film which slides over the bottom of the phone before you encase the 9700 in the other two covers which make up the case.
There are added protectors over the quicklaunch buttons i.e the camera, volume etc and are very tactile and accessible whilst in the case. Don’t hesitate to purchase this product – though a little pricey is well worth it. One word of advice, whilst this case provides adequate protection against day to day bumps and knocks it is not waterproof so don’t drop it in water! A very good case overall and one which gives very good protection against dust and general muck getting in your keyboard whilst protecting your screen against scratches.

This was a very quick delivery and the device fits the bill perfectly. I ski on a regular basis and my Blackberry is my backup lifeline – I needed a case for my Blackberry Bold 9700 that was super-rugged (much more so than the holster). However, I also needed the complete functionality of the device available to me. This is just what the doctor ordered – perfect for the job. My only minor negative comment is that the keys on the edges of the keyboard are a little more difficult to reach but I have learned to work round it with a little practice. This may be more expensive than other cases but it is well worth it.

This case offers maximum protection but there is also the “Commuter” version for those who do not need such a rugged casing.
It is well worth looking at the series of videos on YouTube – just search for something like “unboxing 9700″ or “unboxing Blackberry”. These will show you how to put them together and you will get a better idea of whether it is what you want.
Whereas some bulk is added to the phone, it still fits in my shirt pocket and the belt clip is very handy to have. Well worth the cost.
