I wanted an iPhone cover that could potentially take a few knocks, all the other silicon cases seemed to simply stop scratches and the like but this has reinforced corners and a back brace, also it raises up from the screen enough that a drop flat onto the front wouldn’t hit the screen. The case is not that obtrusive and feels good, doesn’t turn sticky, has a ‘rough’ texture for good grip.

I was worried about the sides been flappy, but it doesn’t seem to be a problem unless I push my thumb purposefully right into them. Mine came with an otterbox screen cover which went on perfectly, you don’t know it’s there.

It’s simple and black, doesn’t scream pretencious or tasteless and the case is very very cheap. I would definately recommend this case to sensible practical folk.

Great value purchase, truly protects and covers the iPhone. Has holes in all the right places, and buttons are covered to stop fluff etc. getting into the corners of them. Rubber feel, looks good. Minor shame that tissue fluff in trouser pockets clings to the rubber, but to be expected really!

Another member of the family is going to buy an iPhone, and will recommend this to them.

This is a nice case in terms of impact protection. I have other OtterBox products which are very nice, this was cheap and feels it somewhat. It doesn’t sit down properly on the edges of the screen, but it is cheap… I would go for one of their commuter cases if the cost isn’t too much of an issue.

Great product which does protect the iPhone 3G, and not too heavy. My wife is absolutely happy with it. Fits very snugly but is easy to remove if required. Allows for iPhone to dock with quite a few clock radio docks, without having to remove sleeve. Highly recommended.

Well not quite as glowing a review as the previous one. It’s a nice case that fits snugly, feels comfortable to hold and allows you to use the iphone 3g as normal. The only complaint I have is that the edges of the case (or skin) are not tight against the phone. Dragging your finger across the screen lifts the edges up and consequently they feel, well, a bit ‘flappy’ for want of another word. They lift up too easily. Looking at the phone right now I can see that the edge along the top of the screen is not flush with the phone, but in fact raised. This case will be good if you have a habit of dropping phones on a hard surface, however it won’t keep the grime and dust out.

The idea in the previous review that the only differences is nonsense to me, you can see in the pictures the Defender looks a lot more substantial. But then it costs £25.00 which is a quarter of the iphones cost. Your call.

I’d recommend this one as it does the job, just not quite perfectly.
