Blu-ray Disc Home Cinema System. By using combination of real speakers and virtual speakers, the listener is encircled by surround speakers and more natural and smoother surround can be enjoyed especially in action scenes such as car chase scene, as if you are sitting in the centre of the theatre. High precision 4:4:4 signal technology processes each pixel of the Blu-ray Disc video signal in the horizontal direction to complement vertical direction processing. When viewed on a high end VIERA TV model, which features 4:4:4 signal compatibility, it recreates images with the original film quality to further enhance movie enjoyment.

Ordered this system after reading reviews on this and 2 other systems – another Panasonic and the similar Samsung – and am completely satisfied with what I’ve chosen. I went for this one as I already have a Panasonic HD plasma and have had 2 Panasonic Home Cinema systems in the past and have never been disappointed, and the 4 tallboy speakers suited my lounge better. From getting it in the house it took me about an hour to have the system assembled (quite simple) calibrated (very simple – I used the auto setup with supplied microphone) and playing an iPod through the dock. The upscaling of normal DVD’s is fantastic, the sound amazing, and I just wish the BluRay disk had been delivered as quick so I could see what that looks like!

I spent quite some time deliberating over what system to buy, in the end i’m absoltely delighted with my purchase! Quick run down of pros and cons:

Pros:

1. Picture quality is excellent on Blu-Ray and on DVD (Seems to be as good if not better than the PS3)

2. Sounds Quality on movies is fantastic, nice and crisp vocals and all round quality is obvious

3. Games – BFBC2 experience is unbelievable. Crank up the volume and you feel like your in a war zone, the crack when you let off some shots is very satisfying, it somehow makes the game easier to play when you really believe in the power of your weapon ;)

4. CDs sounds great with dolby pro logic II, don’t think i’ll be using my technics hi fi much anymore.

5. All the features you will need can be controlled via the screen on the blu ray / amp. no need for on screen.

6. Price! check out the price of this on other sites. A bargain yes?

7. I-pod/phone doc, nice touch! no control though.

8. Looks – The unit itself is fairly uninspiring but the tallboys are slim and discreet and should fit into any room.

Cons:

1. Remote is a bit old fashioned looking, but does the job

2. I’ve seen a review which suggested the sub is a bit “flabby”, at a stretch i can see what they mean, but really your not going to notice unless your used to hearing £900+ systems

3. No HMDI in. Doesn’t bother me in the slightest as i’ve hooked up my PS3 via optical and it sounds great. TV is currently also optical but nice to note that this is ARC enabled for whenever a tv upgrade occurs.

4. I’ve noticed that it’s not so great at decoding video and adding surround affects at the same time, audio goes out of sync as it’s not powerful enough. It’s not really an issue for me as i let ps3 do this and route audio only.

Hope this helps, there’s not much info on this product elsewhere for some reason.

I recently purchased this item after reading reviews on many home theatre surround sound systems over the last 4 months, the product arrived in excellant condition packaged in 1 large box, it took me about 1 hr to set-up and tune. the sound on this system is crystal clear with a clear crisp bassy sound that makes you smile when cranked up a notch. i havent yet used all the functions such as ipod dock and bd net but i bought the system to enhance my 50″ panasonic viera TV and i would highly recommend this system to anyone who is looking for a top spec system to compliment a big screen TV. the picture on the Blueray is nothing short of amazing the true colour detail is outstanding and you will be blown away by the quality of the picture and clarity of the sound. the viera link system allows 1 remote to adjust volume which is a great bonus. the system was approx £650.00 4 months ago and for me it is an absolute bargain now that it has been heavily reduced. the 4 tallboy speakers are perfect not too tall and they are a nice addition to the room.

So on the whole plenty of plus points and nobad points. enjoy Russell

As I have used in my title this Panasonic Suround Sound system is absolutely superb, the SC-BT735EB-K Blu-Ray 5..Home Cinema system, once you have connected up the cables, sets up the sound levels itself,by use of the small mic, given to you for that purpose. It also has a virtual 7.1 system that seems to work well, and generally I would highly recommend it,10 out of 10.

Very easy to set up and use, fantastic sound and very cinematic bass at times gut wrenching, default subwoofer setting is 4 max, had to turn it to 2 which is more than enough for my lounge. Happy with purchase.
