I looked for a LCD for weeks and decided to go with the Panasonic L37S10b37 and I have made the right choice.

The picture quality is fantastic and Sky+ could be HD it took me 30 mins to calibrate the right colours but when you get it right its amazing.

I also ordered a Blu ray DMP-BD35 Blu-ray Player from amazon and again the quality is fantastic can not recommend the two enough.

The picture on normal DVD upscales to 1080 and it is very close to Blu Ray in terms of quality. I watched Iron Man tonight in Blu ray and the picture and sound was mind blowing.

The price of the TV is a must I went into my local store and they wanted £899.99 for this same set so its a real bargain on amazon for what you get.

The service from Amazon was quick and reliable well worth next day delivery I ordered the TV on Wednesday at 12.15pm and it arrived next day at 10:50am. You can also track the item in your account and it provides a very good idea where your order is. This is the first big purchase from amazon and is the best serivce I have recd from online retailer.

The sound is ok for a LCD TV its not great but I have a 5.1 surround system so will only use TV sound now and again. Don’t let the sound put you off as most LCD screens are a little lacking in the sound dept.

This is my first review I have written on here so goes to show have pleased I am with the TV.

There are lots of settings for the picture and these are really easy to navigate and calibrate. The contrast is very deep and crisp.

This TV scored 5 stars on what hifi and can see why if you buy this you will be very happy.

Added to review after 3 days full usage

TV continues to amaze me with the quality of the picture and even the sound now is impressing me.

Just wanted to add some info on motion flow as I know this is a big worry for people. All weekend I have watched the football and have not experienced any motion blur the images are clear and crisp and the TV keeps up with the action well. This is true for all channels through SKY+ trust me when I say you really dont need HD box as sky normal is just fantastic through this. My setting is Dynamic on a high contrast, quarter for Colour and Brightness and sharpness just about the mid way mark. I have the setting on normal for the colour temp then there s this option for the motion to be turned to max which I use this stops judders and motion blur.

I would recommend to sit if possible about 15 feet as this is where the TV is at best for viewing. Are main couch is only 8 feet away and although still very good not as good as being 15 feet away.

I would buy the blu ray player as well if not already owned as the Blu Ray is just out of this world. Watched planet earth today and its just breath taking even if you hate nature etc you cant help just watching for the 1080P images which are truly amazing. Wall-E is great on Blu Ray, Iron man very good, watched Quantum of solace 10/10 for the picture but would rate the movie at just 6/10.

There are reviews which mention the blacks on this TV being a little grey I would say this unfounded by me I guess these people look for things when reviewing.

Panasonic is a great make and I will stick to all their products in the future.

Apologies for the long review its just that I know when looking for a LCD that ticks all your boxes its hard and with so much choice it can take months to find the right one.

I got this TV when my old CRT exploded. My first LCD, I went for this one because I had heard good things about Panasonic, liked the specs, and thought that the price was good.

The TV looks great! The frame is shiny, but you get a little cloth to remove dust. Upon turning it on for the first time, the set up was fast and simple. I didn’t even need the manual at first.

Above all, the picture looks great! When close-up, DVD and TV looks a little grainy, but it looks great when above 3m away. The colours and textures are rich. However, blu-ray looks stunning! The IMAX images in Dark Knight are breathtaking.

I love this TV. Considering a 37-inch full HD LCD?? Get this one!

Hello,

I took delivery yesterday morning, a day early based on the estimated date along with a Slimline PS3. Minor issue was the TV box had quite a bad dent in so recorded that on the delivery note, but in the end it hadn’t affected the TV.

Took a couple of minutes to setup the stand and I was off.

**The XBox core does not work well with this TV because it doesn’t output a high enough resolution signal to be playable, only the later XBox Elite comes with a HDMI output. Even connecting with a composite cable made no different to the image which was very pixelated much worse than the image on the 28″ CRT TV, so my son has now inherited the Xbox.

**Since this post I have been advised I should purchase a VGA cable for the Xbox which will give a HD output, since I have a PS3 I have no intention of buying the cable. However, thought I should update my comment.

** I have bought the VGA cable for the XBOX 360 core, the picture quality is excelent well worth the purchase.

The Nintendo Wii has strange artifacts around the edges of characters when playing using the AV cable for best results you need to be using a composite cable which I have now ordered.

The composite cable has arrived, the picture quality is much better than before, mainly around the edges of characters so I highly recommend getting one.

The PS3 however is out of this world, playing a game at 1080P with a HDMI cable is breath taking. The graphics are amazing the TV does an excelent job keeping up with the action with no tearing on the screen.

Playing a Blu-ray DVD is outstanding, the quality is amazing cannot fault it. You do need to be sitting a fair distance away from the TV to really appreciate it.

Even playing normal DVDs, I watched my favorite DVD Transformers 2 Revenge of the fallen and the quality and detail was so much better almost as good as watching a Blu-ray film.

Sky picture quality is excelent too, once you have had a chance to play around with the display settings they look perfect. I have placed an order to get sky HD so good things to come.

Sky+ HD has been installed, the picture quality is excelent. One thing to point out is that the highest resolution the Sky HD box outputs is 1080i it doesn’t output in 1080P. To get the best results I would suggest you set the HD Resolution Output to Automatic rather than the default 1080i setting. This allows the sky box to change to a lower resolution when displaying older programmes. For example full hd is output in 1080i. Normal programs can be displayed in 576 or 720p otherwise the image seems to be stretched to fit 1080i which makes a pixelated image.

One final note, don’t expect this TV to magically display fantastic images from old hardware. Remember the expression Garbage in Garbage out. There is no point driving a formala 1 racing car on unleaded from Asda. You need a HD source to the get a HD output on your screen. So invest in Sky HD and a PS3 or similar device with a blu-ray player or games console with HDMI output.

I am very happy with the TV and cannot recommend it high enough.

Hope this has been useful for you

Bought this product after our old big telly blew up. Went for LCD as we have a large bright front room and didn’t want to go to a 42 inch Plasma. Due to the fact that we were telly less (mega drama where both kids and hisband were concerned!!!)it was quite a quick purchase and more to the point it was needed immediately. Delivery from Amazon was two days as promised and the price was £300 less than our local retailer…yes £300 less!!

Picture is good once you have fiddled around with the colour and got it to your liking. It looks good and takes up a minimal amount of space. The stand doesn’t seem that secure at times. Sound quality is ok. The freeview on it is good and we tend to watch this rather than the sky. Overall a good purchase at an excellent price and quick delivery.

Superb picture, good audio and a stylish cabinet without frills. I am using this TV in conjuncion with a Panasonic DMR-EX769EB HDD/DVD Recorder, wiich using the Viera link provides single controller use. (2nd controller needed for SKY Satellite opeation). It may not be a LED TV or a Blu Ray recorder, but most people viewing the above combination are hard pressed to differentiate between the two. A good purchase at a realistic cost. Good features include 3 HDMI connections, a SD card slot and very good acute angle viewing.
