I have to say I was not overly impressed with this item!

In fairness, it looks pretty good and I would go as far as to say that it serves it purpose fairly well. However, considering the cost of the item I do feel it could have been much improved!

I found the following aspects somewhat disappointing:

Firstly, the case makes operation quite cumbersome. I think I would be more inclined to remove the phone when using it. Which means there is a lot of unnecessary bulk to be carrying around.

Secondly, the phone does not fit in the case as snugly as I would have hoped. I very much doubt I shall be using any of the ‘shake’ features whilst the phone is in this case.

Finally, the magnetic clasp which holds the front cover down does not perform too well. I would not rely on it staying closed if I were to drop my phone whilst in this case. Which is quite a worry when, for most people, this is probably what they want the protection for!

To be honest, I doubt I shall give it much use. I bought the item simply because of the aluminium front cover, as I shall be keeping the phone in my pocket whilst attending worksites and was concerned about the screen being damaged whilst in such hazardous areas.

I have a ‘Beyza’ pouch type case which is awsome! However it is a soft leather case offering limited protection. If I could find a similar item to that with integrated screen protection I would pay double what I paid for this item…

In short. I would recommend only if you really need the aluminium screen protection and can not find an alternative!

Hope this helps.

Had spent some time looking for a good quality case for my iPhone. I was very conscious at how easily the device is to drop and scratch, so wanted good protection to avoid any damage happening.

Was drawn to the Proporta case by its sleek design. Initially, I was put off by the price as there are many cases out there which are cheaper. However, I discovered this case had aluminium lining giving it extra protection.

Ordered on Sunday using Amazon’s super saver delivery and received on Wednesday. Got the case out of the packaging and was amazed at the quality. At this point I was very happy that I’d spent that extra money. The case itself has a black mottled leather feel exterior with a cream interior. At the back of the case (where your iPhone will cover) is soft pinstriped material which will protect the back of the phone.

The case fitted my iPhone perfectly and although I was initially concerned that the top of the phone seems to be quiet exposed, the aluminium lining would protect it should I drop it. This feature actually gives the user much more access to the phone such as the earphone socket, volume control and silencer button. The case has a small cut-out at the back which allows users to take pictures without having to remove the phone. The case shuts magnetically and unlike most other cases, does not have a button which can be quite fiddly!

Many cases can bulk out the iPhone, but this one doesn’t add much at all. It still fits nicely in my pocket. Operating the phone, particularly the internet is not made difficult by the case, meaning you can keep it in there.

Overall, very impressed!

Beautifully made, the quality really is first class. protects the screen, and I think will give reasonable protection if dropped. However, think how you intend to use your iphone, That might sound strange, but are you ok lifting the flap and holding it open to make and receive calls? If your the sort of person that mainly uses the email features, ipod and internet, as I am, then this style is great. If you use it actually as a phone a lot, then a clip on style case, that leaves the screen open albeit protected with a plastic screen saver, is perhaps more practical. Problem is if you actually see and feel this case, it is so nice, you won’t want to put your shiny iphone in some piece of plastic

I have used Proporta cases for quite some time and I would not go for any other brand, especially because of the alluminium lining, which offers great protection for the screen. The only problem with this particular case is that, when you have the flip open the top is completely open and it’s fairly easy for the iPhone to come out and fall. If there was a small strip to hold it in place when open, I would give it 5 stars.

I am thinking about using a bit of leather and velcro to stop it from sliding off.

I work out and about a lot and needed a hard cover over my iphone. I tried three or four before getting to this one. It’s just the best. As well as being a good protective cover, it also has a snazzy little magnet on the lid that pulls the cover together. It also looks good.
