If you are a Pratchett fan this is a must have. If you can appreciate tongue in cheek humour and some witty refeneces to film and literature likewise. It truly is the hounds nether regions; often downright hilarious interspersed with engaging, well thought out and not ridiculously obscure puzzles.

I strongly recommend watching A) and 50s b+w detective movie before and B) Casablanca after playing.

Got 4 stars overall cos it doesnt work on xp. Otherwise it is flawless, just like reading a Sam Vimes.

An excellent adventure game with a very humorous story line.

Game will only work on Windows 98 and earlier.

I bought this game as a gift for my wife as she is an avid Pratchett fan. While it is set in Pratchetts famous Discworld, the game is set far from setting the mood and atmosphere you get in a book. The humour is good, very good in fact, but that’s about it.

The Story does unfold well and can grip you easily, however it is bogged down by a level of difficulty reserved for master observationists.

Maybe it’s just me and the missus, but we spent alot of time just revisiting locations trying to look for something to help us progress forwards, which while we enjoyed the story, it became rather frustrating when all you wanted to do was find out what happened next.

The graphics are nothing to shout about and the charecters while walking can have “involuntary spasms” every so often.

Not a bad game but not great either. Would reccommend only buy if you’re a Pratchett fan and have the spare time and patience.

this game is great for adventure die-hards and fans of the discworld – anyone else risks disappointment.

the graphics and story are nothing to write home about and the 3D characterisation has none of the joy of the other discworld games.
