Excellent value for money . Easy to use . Why bother with much more expensive units ?? Buy the bag / spare battery off Amazon at £10.00 which is the best deal ever !!!!!

This is a great little camcorder, has easy mode which does all the settings for you -this gets you up and running straight away, 3 hour battery life, time lapse recording and to be honest I didn’t understand what this was – but now I have had great fun using it, point at the sky – set time lapse and when you play back you can watch the clouds fly past! 16GB flash card gives around 6hr 15min record time, image stabilisation I found useful when filming from the car. The 34 x optical and 42 x inteli zoom are impressive (would avoid 1200 digital zoom), other functions include face recognition, 10 x digital effects (sepia etc) 8 x shooting modes (sports etc) comes with case, cable for TV, a charger, USB cable, manual on CD, easy to use but basic editng software, choice of colours and prices red, blue, black and silver. I belive it was approx £250 on lauch but can be bought for arround the £120 mark right now. Downside is you need to buy a SDHC card 8GB at around £15, also maybe a spare battery at approx £16, still photos are pretty poor quality. Not all retail video editing software supports the H.264 video compression codecs, me thinks the software that comes with it does, Oh it produces wide screen 16:9 or Youtube output, its your choice!

This is such an easy camcorder to use, set up is minimal and all the settings are easy to find/change. Picture quality is outstanding as is the sound. I found it easy to watch footage back on PC and TV. A lightweight excellent value for money item. Only drawbacks are that its not so good in poor light conditions, the manuel has to be printed off from a disk (alot of pages!)and no memory card is in the box!

I’ve only had this camera a few days but I really like it. I heard that at low light it was a bit rubbish but I shot a video of a frog in my garden in the dark using just a torch as a back light and it looks great.

The only bad thing I have found so far is that when you drag the video files onto the computer they get squashed to 4:3 ratio but there is a program called MPEG Streamclip where you can import the clips, then export at 16:9 ratio in a few different formats.

Looking forward to using it more!
