First of all I’ll get the negatives out the way. It doesn’t have proper buttons on the front, instead it has soft-touch ones which I’m never sure if they’re picking up my presses, and the remote is a little hard to work out from the images on the front.

Now that’s out the way the positives. The TV is very thin, not LED thin, but it’s still pretty good. The stand is nice and lets you swivel smoothly to the angle you want it. The picture quality is good, HD tuner works well. Having used Sky HD before I wasn’t blown away by seeing HD images, but it’s still pretty. It hooks up seamlessly with my computer through an HDMI to DVI cable and it’s a case of pushing a single button to switch to it. It connects to the network easily though doesn’t pick up any of my files straight away. The manual talks about downloading a program from their website, but since my computer is already connected to the back I haven’t spent any time worrying about that.

Sound is loud and I typically run it at 8% and 12% for quiet programs. The quality is good enough for day-to-day, but if you are watching movies you will probably have a surround sound system to back it up which can be connected using the optical out.

I haven’t tested connecting anything to either USB port etc but they’re there if the TV isn’t connected up to your computer.

So to summarise, this TV has a lot of features that I’ll probably never use, but they come at seemingly no extra cost and don’t over complicate the menus. The value for money of this TV is great, it has a large high quality screen bucket loads of features, comes from a big brand, Freeview HD and is one of the cheaper TVs in this size range but it really doesn’t show through.

The TV exceeded all expectations: –

The picture quality is amazing with or without HD.

The sound quality is as good as can be expected, althugh I’d say the sound quality is it’s poorest feature, I don’t think you can expect any better in a slim TV. People add other speakers with home cinema and stuff but I don’t think it’s necessary.

It’s beautiful to look at, The pictures don’t do the look of the TV any justice.

There’s loads of connection points. 3 HD sockets and loads of others. You can connect a USB stick with films on it so if you’re into downloading films you can play them through the stick. I’ve not used this feature though so I can’t comment on how well it works.

It’s silent when running. Reviews of other TV’s say that they can be noisy so you can hear them buzzing when running, but not this one, it’s perfectly silent.

I really can’t fault it. I’m really happy with it and I think at this price it’s a bargain compared to others on the market.

We ordered this tv at about midnight on thursday night and paid extra for express delivery and sure enough it came at 10am on saturday morning! couldnt believe the size of the box!(as we previously had a 32inch samsung)

Once out of the box was in perfect condition and was stunning! The set up was easy, the picture quality in HD is amazing and the sound is great too (seems to go a lot louder and not as fuzzy as the sound on our samsung 32″)

We have seen this tv in various shops for £200+ on the price on here so we felt like we got a really good buy!

If ur in 2 minds about buyiing this telly id say DOO ITTTT! its lovely, even wen turned off :) very happy!!

Having jumped from a 32″ to this 46″ I was bound to be overawed, but even a month after purchase, I am still amazed at the picture quality. Definatly one of the best purchases I have made and fully recommended.

If you watch alot of sport this tv is not for you as thats the only downfall with this tv its not a good picture on sport. As for everything else the picture is fantastic I do not watch sport so this is a great tv for me a great picture at a great price. I recently had a toshiba 200hz 40 in which I had to send back due to a fault but this samsungs picture is just as good as the toshiba even though its only 50hz.
