Great value no password protection, 16 May 2010

This is fantastic value, light, small and totally plastic but seems to be quite sturdy.
It is faster at loading and downloading than my old San Disc Cruzer 16.
As far as I can tell the only down side is that unlike the Cruzer the Cruzer Blade is not password protected and there is no L.E.D. light display indication when it is operating.

This review is from: SanDisk Cruzer Blade 16GB USB Memory (Accessory)

I wont bother commenting on the device itself – enough has been said. I did some speed tests using this 16gb drive and a Sandisk Cruzer Micro 8gb I bought over 3 years ago. I used a Macbook Pro.

First Test: a single 2.73gb video file:
Sandisk 16gb USB: Write 4.65mbps / Read 15.69mbps
Old 8gb USB: Write 7mbps / Read 13.25mbps

First Test Result: 16gb is considerably slower at writing a large file, but a little faster at reading.

Second Test: 47 pictures in a folder, 412mb total:
Sandisk 16gb USB: Write 3.85mbps / Read 13.5mbps
Old 8gb USB: Write 3.84mbps / Read 13.08mbps

Second Test Result: very similar speeds.

It’s a usb pen – what do you expect!, 14 April 2010

Pros:
> It’s tiny (and doesn’t look half bad either!)
> Totally plastic casing means it won’t scratch up you phone or anything else you have in your pocket
> Chunky key ring hole is a nice addition

Cons
> It’s tiny – if you don’t attach it to a key chain you’ll probably have lost it by the end of the week!
> Totally plastic casing means i’ll probably break this thing (will update the review if I do ;^) )
> No activity light

Overall, it’s a USB pen! looks good and sits nice and securely on your key chain; but build quality may be a bit flimsy for some
