This is a brilliant item. I have a IPOD Touch and recently changed my car which had a built in IPOD doc. What I did not know is that the Touch will not charge in the doc as apple say you need a adapter and have not as yet started to make one! The garage did not even know this and suggested I purchase a IPOD Nano etc so that it would work in the car. I then spotted this item and it works brilliantly a must if you are having problems charging your IPOD Touch in your car. A cheaper alternative than having to buy a new ipod. Many thanks

This resolved my issue when I bought a new 4G nano, both my cars had ipod stereo that ceased to charge with new version. Now charges and still works with an older ipod. Connection could be stronger.

It arrived within a couple of days and does exactly what it says. I needed it as I had made an enquiry with my local VW garage about getting an iPod connector cable fitted so I could play my iPod through my car stereo. The garage said that the connector they used would not charge my iPod whilst playing in the car so there didn’t seem to be much point until I ‘Googled’ the problem and this solution turned up. It works perfectly – a neat solution to what was initially a perplexing scenario.

i have just bought a new series ipod nano and it would not charge when connected to my bmw i-drive ipod adaptor like the old series ipod would, this is because all of the new ipod’s have a slighty different charging circuit within them, bmw knew nothing about this and niether did apple!
however the clever people at SCOSCHE did and developed this clever pass through device, so in short it allowed my ipod to be charged while plugged into my bmw which solved my problem.
thank you scosche as now i dont have to take my ipod out of my car every night to charge it!
i must add that its not just for bmw ipod kits, it will work with all devices that have the charging problems and more, i phone, new gen ipods, i pod touch – docking stations, entertainment centres etc etc.

This makes the built-in cable in our Volvo work with newer iPods where before only 1st and 2nd gen iPods did. It doesn’t just charge them; it also allows you to control the iPod through the steering wheel and stereo buttons. It adds about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of length to the iPod. I’m so happy to have it and don’t know why Volvo didn’t tell us about it when we needed it!
