After forgetting where i had left my keys on too many occasions meaning i missed my train (coat pocket and worst of all in the front door over night), i decided something had to be done, so i purchased this.

This has proved to be a good gadget, and does what it says. It has a good range and is loud enough to hear from a good distance. Negatives are that the receiver which attaches to your keys is a little big and bulky and it is a little bit expensive for what it is.

Things to bear in mind are that both the transmitter and receiver have plastic covers to save the battery being used when new/before using. The transmitter has a plastic tab that says remove before use, however the receiver has a near invisible plastic film/cover that matches the size of the watch battery hidden on the underside, so it isn’t until you remove the battery that you realise it has a cover in place.

The unit sort of goes into sleep mode, so you have to hold the transmit/find button for a few seconds before the receiver responds, as at first i thought it wasn’t working.

Otherwise a great gadget but a shame the receiver wasn’t a bit smaller.

After searching the internet for cheap little gifts to get for my Mother for Mothers day i found this, just as an add on present (im not that cheap) At first she found it an excellent gift, as she always loses her keys, but after a while the alarm sound it makes would start to go off randomly, which as you are driving, is very distracting indeed. However i guess i cant complain much as it was under £10, i however suggest looking elsewhere

Was a great present for someone who forgets their keys alot, but the range isn’t very good and sometimes it doesn’t work. For >£10 its a bit of a rip off really.
