I looked at quite a lot of cameras on the net and without actually seeing them I was so undecided on which to buy, but the Sony Cybershot was such good value for money, was very compact and lightweight which is what i wanted. I have to say it’s perfect, the pictures are extremely clear and the zoom is great, the only downside to it is that it only takes normal batteries, i would of preferred something with maybe a lithium battery as rechargable batteries and charger are often quite expensive to buy, but all in all it is a brilliant camera and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to buy a camera

All I can say about this camera is what has already been said…. I’m very pleased with it but wish I’d gone for the one with Rechargeable batteries as this really does eat Alkaline like its going out of fashion.

Having said that, if you choose your settings carefully to match your environment, then the flash will not eat up your costly batteries…. and you really dont want to buy the cheapo batteries for this camera if you want more than 6 shots!!!! that shows how much Alkaline this one eats up.

The overall appearance is good, and the functions are really easy to use. Video could be better, but I guess I should go for a much more expesive camera for that.

Pictures look great, as long as you wait a good few seconds after the first shot before taking the second, as if you are too quick for the second shot then it will come out looking weird!

The time lag between pressing the button and it taking the actual picture is annoying…. but thats technology and Digital cameras for you… and I found myself pressing the button 3 seconds before shouting on the person I’m taking a picture of… Taking kids pictures is a nightmare as they look away by the time it actually snaps them and I have hundreds of my kids backs of heads or sides of heads…. closed eyes, and just a Blur shaddow with them walking away bored waiting for it to actually click!

Yes I would recommend this camera as its my second Sony Cybershot over the years… so I must be pleased with them eh?

This camera is ok, but the pictures tend to be quite dark. The other problem is that is just comes with normal AA batteries, not rechargeable. I had to buy new batteries twice in one weekend. I’ve now bought a separate battery charger and some rechargeable AA batteries. Not the best.

Very good basic camera, with a sony lens. However, we bought it for making video clips and were disappointed that there is only a 320 video format suitable for emailing etc, and no 640 file size for video – which there is on the w110 and w210. Also, there is no audio on camera playback. One of the features we liked is the AA batteries – easy to replace anywhere in the world.

Had to return the 1st one as the memory card could not be read.

However, I took about 6 pictures of my car to sell it and upload them to a site and was surprised of the quality, had to delete after downloading them as internal memory is quite small, bought a memory stick from a camera shop and it wouldn’t accept it, so returned it same day as received and refunded quickly, reordered another and was delivered within 5 days

Took lots of the kids school Valentine disco too, they came out very well for indoor pictures with no red eye and clarity was great, facefinder is clever and picks up the faces and concentrates on taking a good picture, a great camera for the price and a good solid plastic body.

Some people moan about plastic body in the review, this is the 20th century and is far better and safer than clumsy metal, there is a short pause in all point and shoot cameras to wait for a ready light, but that’s fine, happens on the more expensive ones too and it isn’t long only few seconds, on the N95 camera it’s the same which is what I had been using.

Perfect family camera with great results, buy a large 1GB or more card and you can go on a long time, read the instructions to get the idea of the menu and to get the best results, software is great too.
