This unit has proved to be excellent for audio quality, and have now purchased one more. Music transfer very easy by drag-and-drop using Windows Media player. Only two quibbles (1) the timer can only be used with music playback and not for radio shut-off (??) and (2) I needed to purchase earplug type earphones to replace the Sony supplied item.

After owning an Ipod Classic and having to go through their Itunes software every time, this is so much better. It’s easy to use, it, unlike the Ipod has a radio too! A great little Walkman!

After my Ipod deciding to give up on me and reading the reviews for Sony MP3’s there was only a few pounds difference between this and the 8Gb, so this was the better choice. Very easy to use and I was supprised how light it was compared to my heavy Ipod. Menu’s are clear to read.

When I was reading the reviews, I noticed some people saying that the volume was too low to hear, I have to say I find it just right even when I put it on max so no worries there for me.

This is well worth a buy.

A great little piece of kit. You can listen without headphones – great (for me anyway) can record direct from the radio, although fm and not dab the sound quality is very good. Easy to navigate menus and bigger screen than the older model.

Recommended.

I don’t think I could be much more happy with this than I am. The video transfer software is very forgiving. The screen is bright and vivid. The controls are intuitive. I’ve been very happy with the battery life. It powers itself down it paused for a while. If it’s off and you press play, it only takes about two seconds before it begins playing from where you left off last.

My gripes are both minor and few. It doesn’t seem to recognize album art if it is saved as a .gif file. The other is that Sony goes with 1000mb=1gb instead of the technically correct 1024mb=1gb.
