Perfect for gym use if you are going to be doing a lot of cardio, can get a little tight when using weights. Iphone fits snugly and is protected well from sweat.

As the first review suggests not great if your planning on using it in the rain.

Overall would very much recommend to anyone thinking of purchasing a sports band for their iPhone, if you are looking for complete comfort get a smaller mp3 player :).

I purchased theBone sports armband to go along with the installation of RunKeeper on my iPhone 3G.

It holds the phone really well and has a secure grippy rubber feel to it which covers the top and bottom sections leaving the screen free but also allowing access to the headphone socket, dock connector, speaker, microphone and earpiece. There’s a hole for the silence switch but the power and volume are accessible by pressing on the case – it has little extrusions to show where they are.

My only issues with it are a slight pinching at the metal loop through which the armband fits and the length of the armband – anyone with 15″ upper arms will need to relocate this to their forearm. Anyone with big forearms should probably look elsewhere!

I bought this to use with the Runkeeper Pro app and was disappointed because it seems to prevent the iPhone from locking on to a 3G signal. Before I started my run I spent ages waiting for it to lock onto a good signal, despite being in an area where the signal is usually fine. I moved around a bit and waited and waited but got nothing. As soon as I took the iPhone out of the case it locked on and I was able to start my run. I just held the iPhone in my hand for the whole run in case putting it back in the case caused me to lose the signal again.

Also, beware if you have skinny arms as this may not fasten very well. I would like to be able to put mine on my wrist but there’s no chance as it only just fixes to my upper arm. But seeing as I can’t get a signal with it, I don’t suppose I’ll be using it much anyway…

Although I didn’t purchase this armband from here I thought I would post my review on it.

I use it in the gym when I am on the cross trainer, bike, treadmill. I can confirm that this armband does not move at all once it has been tightened up.

I sweat a lot in the gym and this armband never lets the sweat through on to my iPhone, instead it stops on the back of the armband that is in contact with my arm. If it does get sweaty, it is just a simple matter of washing it in warm (but not hot) plain water and no soap. I emailed the manufacturer and they told me this.

The front of the armband does not have a plastic cover over the area of where the iPhone screen is, and as such the touchscreen operation of the iPhone is not impeded.

If you are a sporty person who wants to wear their iPhone on their arm when exercising/working out, then this armband should be at the top of your list, it is well worth every penny, superb product!

I purchased this for the iphone 3Gs and its worked nicely on a few of my runs. It also comes with a screen protector.

Its fairly easy to slide the phone into the rubber casing and is held firmly. I would imagine after a bit of use the rubber will fail, but I reserve judgement. The arm band is adjustable and comfortable.

I didn’t particularly want to fit the plastic screen protector, but that leaves the front of the phone open to the elements. Could this be a sunny weather only arm band? …not if you stick a plastic bag over it! ;)

Good all round, with the option of the protective cover. I recommend it.
