This little thing plays everything I’ve thrown at it, 1080p MKV movies, 720p mkv movies, m-720p, mHD, the typical 175/350/550mb tv shows in AVI format, my anime in rmvb.

The user interface is simple, and works as you would expect.

You NEED to buy an HDMI cable (cheap as £8) for the HD stuff you wanna play but considering how damn cheap this little device is, you shouldn’t be upset it didn’t come with the package.

Western Digital make a similar product which if you can afford I’d say its worth it, the WD Elements Play 2 TB.

BUT do not be fooled, this does everything that product does at the same quality but without the internal hard drive – which assuming you already have tv shows and films to watch, you should not need because no doubt you already own an external hard drive.

Anyhoo basically I highly recommend this so stop reading all the reviews which also kiss this product’s bottom, and order that sucka!

I will keep this review simple as that is exactly what the device is to use – SIMPLE!

Very easy to set up and works like a dream, if you want a portable (very small) unit to be able to plug into your HDMI TV and play all the formats you can chuck at it then this is the unit you require.

The remote control isnt going to win any awards but it does it’s job, the menus are simple to use to display photos, play music or watch those video files.

USB key needs to be formatted with FAT32 rather than NTFS for it to be able to see the files otherwise works a treat, not really tried the card slot but would work in the same way.

I bought this for a friend of mine so that they can watch some video files without resorting to buying a console or using a PC/Laptop and they are well happy with it.

Totally recommended.
