There’s no stretch in the thick brocade waist fabric & it has to fit across a broad area around your midriff – they measure larger than they fit! So, to allow room to eat & breath you need to buy a size which allows at least 2″ extra fitting above your actual waist measurement. If your waist is smaller, this section can be pulled in by 2-3″ to shape with the corset ties. Due to the slim fit & rigid fabric, if you are between sizes or fuller around the middle, it’s best to buy the next size up where available.
