Poptastic

Poptastic

There are some things in life that you just can’t stop yourself from doing and popping the bubbles on a sheet of bubble wrap is most definitely one of them. We reckon it’s nigh on impossible to pass even the smallest scrap of bubble wrap and not want to grab it and squeeze those little bubbles until the make that deeply satisfying ‘POP’ noise. This compelling if not addictive pastime used to be restricted to when you moved house or someone sensible sent you something in the post. Now fortunately someone with way too much time on their hands and who obviously wasn’t busy designing the new space probe has come up with an electronic version that fits on your key ring. It’s the bubble wrap that never runs out of bubble. Every time you press one of the electronic bubbles it makes a satisfying popping noise. We’ve tested several and this one was our winner. Bloody ridiculous but just you try putting it down.

Ultraviolet Bubble Gun

Ultraviolet Bubble Gun

For those of you who simply can’t be bothered to use your lungs excessively and stage your own mini-Queen concert (circa 1986) we have this super innovation in the world of bubble-blowing. Simply put it’s a gun that fires bubbles out at a fair old lick and accompanies it with some super-cool UV lights as well. It’s designed for kids but if the giggles of glee as we sprayed showers of bubbles into a desk fan are anything to go by adults will have a rare old time with it too. Great for the garden and indoors as well (office workers may want to be a little cautious around their computers) it’s guaranteed to brighten up the day of whoever you blow bubbles in the face of. If you look within the gun itself you can even see the bubbles being made – perfect for young inquiring minds. If you’re looking for something to muck about with in the garden or a way to delight/annoy family and friends then the UV Bubble Gun is about the best way to manage it.

Making Money

It’s an offer you can’t refuse. Who would not to wish to be the man in charge of Ankh-Morpork’s Royal Mint and the bank next door? It’s a job for life. But as former con-man Moist von Lipwig is learning the life is not necessarily for long. The Chief Cashier is almost certainly a vampire. There’s something nameless in the cellar (and the cellar itself is pretty nameless) it turns out that the Royal Mint runs at a loss. A 300 year old wizard is after his girlfriend he’s about to be exposed as a fraud but the Assassins Guild might get him first. In fact lot of people want him dead. Oh. And every day he has to take the Chairman for walkies. Everywhere he looks he’s making enemies. What he should be doing is…Making Money!

Pocket Towel

Pocket Towel

As anyone who has ever tried to jam more than a few days worth of kit into a rucksack or beach bag will know all too well towels are the arch enemy of packing light. For something you only need once or twice a day it takes up way too much space that would be far better used for your travel speakers picnic camera mask & flippers or dare we say it a few chilled bottles of something delicious. Not only does a trad towel hog way too much space when dry but post plunge it gets everything else you’ve so carefully packed wet and somehow weighs as much as a small child. Charming as small children can occasionally be you don’t want to be carrying one around for long. The Pocket Towel is the perfect solution. Not only does it pack up absurdly small taking up less space than a lemon but it dries in nano seconds (figuratively speaking). Made from an ultra-fine woven micro fibre it unfolds to 80 x 40cm and its super-absorbency will soak up three times its weight in water. Better than a traditional towel in every way we can imagine the Pocket Towel is your ultimate travel companion (with perhaps the exception of a porter) whether you’re going to the beach for the day or the Amazon for considerably longer. It’s a backpacker’s dream and a day-tripper’s delight.
