Everyone seems to take great delight in knocking these films or this genre, but comparing the quality and effects of films from the 40s and 50s against blockbusters of today seems slightly unfair, to say the least.

If you dare to look beneath all that though, you will be entranced by this sweet little offering, a young Mickey Rooney running around jumping from one disaster to another with innocent eager glee.

Take it for what it is though, a throw back to a young Hollywood just starting out along it’s big studio path. Ignore the sometimes worn look and forget that it doesn’t star Will Willis and Bruce Smith and just enjoy it for what it is.
