Great little telly. Got ours in the kitchen, and sound is not an issue over the noise you get in a busy family kitchen. I really can’t think of anything wrong with it – maybe that the power cable isn’t ideally place, so when wall mounted you’re restricted a little on swivelling it, but I’m being really picky.

I undertook a good deal of research before parting with my hard earned cash but have definitely made the right decision in buying the Toshiba 19DV665DB TV/DVD Combination unit. Set up was fast and simple (it does itself) and the picture quality is excellent. We have it in the kitchen and it is ideal for that room. I would not hesitate to recommend this unit and if you are undecided as to which 19″ combination unit to buy, your troubles are over………buy this one. Delivery time was outstanding……….less than 36 hours after I hit the ‘purchase’ button! Great price with Amazon at the moment compared to the ‘High Street’ too.

REGRETTABLY I WAS REQUIRED TO RETURN THE FIRST TV BECAUSE THE SOUND SUDDENLY ‘DISAPPEARED’ AND BLOW ME DOWN AFTER JUST OVER A WEEK THE REPLACEMENT HAS SUFFERED THE SAME FATE. THERE IS CLEARLY AN ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL. MY ADVICE IS NOW TO STEER CLEAR.(REVIEW EDITED ON 12TH MARCH 2010)

I thought it was multiregion like its predecessor (the 615 i think) but it isn’t, never-less its a good TV/DVD combo now hanging on an arm bracket in the bedroom.

The TV tuned itself quickly. The UHF channels are very poor quality, could be the aerial needing a nudge, but the Digital channels are excellent quality.

The DVD menu is easy to navigate and picture clear.

The sound is good, well ok for a bedroom, half volume is adequate and over that it clearly starts to overpower the speakers.

I thought I might be able to use the hdmi sound input to play the iPod through the TV, but that didn’t work.

Once I get a cheap amp for that I’ll plus the TV into it also.

I do like the piano black surround, although its a dust/fingerprint magnet.

Overall if your after a 19″ DVD/TV combo its a good set at a fair price.

Great telly, great picture, but suddenly after a month, there is no sound coming through any of the chanels – even the DVD, Even after retuning. Very dissapointed that it looks like the thing is knackered.

I bought two of these and now BOTH have lost their sound. Just waiting for the replacement I received for the first telly to go now…. Disappointing that Amazon are not acknowledging that this is becomming a fault with this TV. I asked whether others had been returned due to the same problem (was it that I was doing something wrong) and I was led to believe that the batch my two came from must have been ‘wrong’.

Unfortunately, it’s back to the high street for the next TV.

I bought this product for my bedroom as I love watching movies and the built in DVD player was perfect. The built in DVD player meant that I didn’t have to get a seperate player for my room or worry about the mess with extra cords and space it would have taken up. The picture and sound quality are brilliant and it looks great too. I think it was an absolute bargain.

I’m happy to point out that I had to have my first unit replaced because of a problem with the sound. I complained to Amazon as soon as I noticed it wasn’t working properly and they were able to very quickly arrange a replacement to be sent out.

Great service from Amazon on behalf of Toshiba. The new unit is working fantastically and I’m very happy with my purchase. Many Thanks.
